If he can't get back in during a cycle like this, will he ever?

I really really think he’s gonna end up in WV one day. Who knows. Problem is whether he would still insist on controlling the offense.

There's a chance LSU hires him when their only other option is to retain Frank Wilson.

I could see this because they have been doing horrible and nobody better would want him.

But they just hired Rich Rod back this year, so maybe in a few more years.

If Auburn hires Dumbo, I'm checking into online courses at UGA...

I think he gets a job this cycle. There are more than a dozen positions open

VT seems like just the right profile.

Arkansas could do a lot worse. Not going to win the fanbase over with the hire but getting them to consistent 7-5/8-4 level would be a lift for the program.

Jimbo could actually afford to pay LSU to let him coach.

That might be something LSU could work with.

LSU will hire him, and he'll proceed to win a NC there in the next few years.

Am I the only one who sees this obvious story arc unfolding?

Don't think he wants to chance failing in the SEC again. Maybe stack some wins at VT and then come back. Maybe Auburn in 3 years.

Jimbo would be a good fit at Auburn. I’m guessing he’s going there or Virginia Tech.

Is he already running out of Texas A&M money? I know coaches have big egos but I'd never leave my yacht.
