How would 2020 have been harder for Bama with fans in the stands?

The only big road games we had in the SEC were LSU and Tennessee. We beat them 55-17 and 48-17 respectively. Fans wouldn’t have done shite in those games. They’re not worth 30+ points.

We had A&M at Home and Georgia at home. We didn’t have the benefit of a crowd just like other teams didn’t. We thumped both of them too.

A conversation I had with a friend about Saban’s legacy and the idiot tried to downplay 2020 like it didn’t count.

Of course he’s an LSU fan.

2020 was more about team against team, and it was an all SEC schedule.

It wouldn't, they were still the best tema and still would've won it all.
Why do you need this validation today?

I've never understood how or why other fans try to downplay the 2020 Bama season. Going undefeated with a 10 game all-SEC slate is impressive regardless of the circumstances.

If Ohio State had won the national championship, I would absolutely put an asterisk by their title considering they only played 5 regular season games that year. But Bama (and everyone in the SEC) played a harder schedule than most years by eliminating 4 OOC games and adding 2 more conference games.

I was about to make your last comment before I saw you already made it. Nobody on earth invalidates 2020 more than lsu fans.

yes, it's true that it was weird as hell with quarter full stands. But the fact LSu fans gloss over is that it was the same situation for everyone, not just bama. LSU, UGA, and everyone else also played in front of cardboard so it's not like bama got some unfair advantage.

I still attneded many games that year (including in tuscaloosa) and honestly I'm glad it wasn't full. Maybe the reason we led at halftime and put up as much of a fight as we did ha.

Tons of opt outs, no real road game environments, not a real season. Sorry bud.*

Their players quit, so their fans think the season shouldn't count.

Pretty much all the logic they have on the subject.

I agree, it's totally unfair how everyone but Alabama had to deal with covid that year.

Surely you know by now that everyone who isn't a Bama fan likes to pretend 2020 doesn't count.

If LSU had won in 2020, you can bet your arse they would have a different opinion as to whether it "counts". Same with any other program. It doesn't "count" because Bama won it and not their team.
