And he ran like a bitch when everyone could pay the players.

Now THAT looks like a man chomping at the bit to get back into coaching right Lsu fans? Nothing says hardened coach ready for the grind of NIL and recruiting like lounging under an afghan…

Looks like a guy who is ready to dive back into the grind of being a head coach in the SEC (especially the NIL part).

Everyone paid players. Why do you assume Saban was just that sneaky to where he got away with it and no one else did?

Is there a single coach who didn’t lose a step or two in their 70’s?

The most impressive thing about Saban is that he had enough self awareness to realize it was time to retire. Most don’t and it is sad to watch.

You are some gullible people. Of course, when it doesn’t happen you all will say “it was a joke all along. Nobody was serious about that “, but a lot of you LSU fans actually believe it.

I personally think the unlimited portal was what he hated most.

I think LSU has a better chance at him than any other.

He'll always have a statue at Bama.

......but id be surprised if he took another college coaching job.

Plausible deniability.

Saban didn't pay players and didn't want to know about his players being paid, but you can bet he put out subtle passive/aggressive ques to the big money guys at Bama booster meetings.

If that was true then why are we seeing Ole Miss, Vandy, Indiana, and others being competitive now and not back then when there was no NIL?

I have known Nick much longer than all you damn Gumps and I absolutely agree with you it seems like a long shot, that doesn’t make sense. But he can be like that and there is a lot of smoke, but still I don’t see it

You seem angry. In fact you always seem angry, even at your own team. Life must suck for you.

That aside, if Saban is your future hope for LSU you’re going to be severely disappointed. Again.

You'll have to explain how he consistently lost out on five star recruits to UGA, LSU, AU and Ohio State...
