What proof is there that blue blood programs illegally paid players prior to NIL?

Is there any proof? Or is it just something people say to try to invalidate greatness?

Nah, I’ve heard all kinds of things, but is there any proof? Anybody go to jail over it? Any major articles?

I can’t remember any program other than SMU that received the death penalty.

The whole point of under the table is to, you know, keep it under the table.

Plausible deniability was the name of the game?

Don’t know if anyone calls Tennessee a blue blood. I doubt it. But here’s an article about improper benefits received LINK

Nebraska RB with his nice new car. Where's his bill of sale for that? How did he pay for it? even just the sales tax?

how many former players ended up working for insurance companies after they put in their 4 years? Either pushed up to a management or exec position, or at least set up with sales that they usually couldn't even manage themselves.

Free Shoes U?

If you are asking if someone made a federal case out of it, with courtroom filings and proceedings, then no.

Might as well ask if there's actually proof our congress is insider trading, or is it just something we say.

Thanks for noticing.

No one denies the greatness of the blue bloods. Was their on field success at least somewhat predicated on how well they cheated off the field?

Eric Dickerson just pulled into this thread in his gold trans am

And yes everyone was doing it in some form or fashion. There’s a reason why people say Shaq made his first million in college
