Why don’t they pull this contract negotiation shite in the dead of summer when there are no sports worth watching? They did this crap a year or two ago on a Saturday morning of a full slate of college football.

The timing isn’t an accident. One time Disney did this, they intentionally kept sending the feed a few days past when they were contractually obligated to do so. We thought maybe Disney would keep the feed going during contract negotiations with our cable company. Then at kickoff at the start of the season soon as the kicker started his trot forward, the feed was cut. Disney wants to enrage you as much possible before you contact your cable provider.

I would assume they both want to try to pressure their customers to reach out to the other party to complain. There's a lot less urgency in the summer than there is on a Saturday morning in the middle of football season.
