I rewatched the Vandy game it was worse the 2nd time around. Ill touch on the key plays.
1st drive: Beau panics on the first play and misses an easy throw on a tunnel screen to Coleman. The 3rd down play was a solid call if Beau gets the ball out early. Coleman was open on the slant and Johnson was open on a comeback in the boundary. Beau couldn't take his eyes off the green dog LB and did his best Maty Mauk and spun around and threw it out of bounds.....it should have been intentional grounding but the refs decided that 4th down was enough.
2nd Drive: The jet sweep on 3rd down looked to have a read element to it. If Beau keeps it and gets on Peagler's hip, who pulled on the play, he hits the safeties untouched.
3rd drive: Moore forgot it was ok to call 2nd down running plays if the 1st down rushing attempt is stopped. Peagler got abused on 2nd and 3rd down in pass pro.
4th drive: Great drive up until Guidice commits a very unnecessary penalty.
5th drive: 2 minute drive is moving the ball until Beau leaves the pocket unnecessarily on 3rd down after Roberts picks up the blitz. He stands in and there were two throws to be made. They call Green for holding when Beau takes off and the half ends with a thud.
6th drive: The defense gets the ball back again and set the offense up for success. They get the ball inside the 5 and the sputtering commences. Hardy had a crease in the C Gap and bounced it outside and into 3 defenders on 2nd down. Moore dribbles down his leg and calls a 3rd down pass play...Beau dribbles down his leg and almost throws a pick. Beau's season ends on the Brady Cook special that Vandy was completely prepared for.

I went to the game and man...brutal. TV hides a lot of ugliness, but when you're in person you see ALL of the missed opportunities and mistakes.
I can't even bring myself to read your post cuz that game was sickening.

Passing game seemed to get some easier throws with Zollers.

6 drives and Beau accounted for 78 total yds and 0 TDs. He made all the throws in game two and it went downhill fast.
Hopefully Zollers makes Moore's play calling look better.

What do you think of Moore not having an extension. You think Drink is going to make a change.

IDK. Depends on who is pulling strings on the starting QB. If Drink is making the final call Moore probably wants to leave.

I don't think Moore's play-calling is 100% his calls. I think Eli has more oversight on it than we all want.

I thought this but Drink's postgame comments have made it pretty clear Drink isn't involved with playcalling.

Drink has adopted the executive HC role (similar to Pinkel) and I think he enjoys it. He seems to excel in it, plus it allows him to separate himself from the offense enough to be able to make a change and it doesn't really hurt him.
Kirby is coaching for his job with these last 4 games, imo. Even if Drink were to leave, he ain't taking Kirby with.

Gleeson has more in-game input than Drink.

Pribula just isn’t a good passer. Sold a bag of used goods. He’s have been an excellent piece to use like PSU did had Horn or Zollers won outright. He’s killed us in our losses.
Someone just can’t eval QBs for this team.

Thats easy to say after a loss.
I really do think Moore is gone.

I think he was the best of what was left. Mendoza and Moss were the real wants.
I think Beau is a green jersey general. He looks great in practice when he knows the defense cant light him up. I think that is why Drink cautioned the media about crowning him after the kU game. I was at the game and was admittedly sold on the throws he made. The timing and placement were all there. Then SEC play started. The missed reads, the INTs, leaving the pocket early...all of the things that probably kept him off the field at PSU started showing up when the bullets were flying.
It all justifies what Drink was saying in fall camp and that the competition was real.
Moore and Gleeson have a legit arm to work with and he looks like he will stand in and make throws. They are going to have to trust him with the entire book if they want to salvage the season. aTm is as tough of a test as one could draw for your first SEC start. Elko is going to throw a lot at him.

So if he gets past Elko and Venables, has Pribula thrown his last pass as a starter for Mizzou?

There were a few options Drink didn't go after. The most surprising for me was Van Buren from Mississippi State. Kid was thrown into a bad situation, but still got the ball to Coleman and Craver. He had SEC experience including playing against us. I really wanted Drink to bring him in.

I think Beau is done either way. Like I said on another thread, its year 4 and he is what he is. He lacks pocket presence, doesnt have an elite arm, and cant see the field. This is a championship caliber defense and skill group. The oline isnt elite but it is good enough. Beau isnt a championship caliber trigger man. Its unfortunate that they paid him like one.

Which is why I think they may try and make him QB1 again. Drink said he does 2 year NIL deals, Im not sure how we could get out of that.

He will be a well paid backup if he stays.

Drink said he "prefers" 2 year deals. Not all the players are on 2 year deals.

I dont think he stays if Zollars is looking like the starter in 2026.
