That depends on who they offer first.

You’ll know you fricked up when Sumrall holds out for the Kentucky job.

The Tulane coach will be the third guy asked.

Sumrall probably won't get an offer.

How many coaches down the list would they need to go for it to be a downgrade from BK?

Do you think LSU will make an offer before they know whether the person will accept?

If they can't pull a big fish...
It'll have to be someone who's really confident to bet on themselves, since the leash is so short there. As a coordinator, I'd be afraid of ruining my career track by taking it and flaming out.
I'd want a lot of guarantees on resources for 3 years (salary pool, NIL etc.)

None. The person they announce will be who they had in mind the whole time and the only person they considered or offered. Even if he's the 12th person they actually offered.
Lane, would you like to coach at LSU? No, but thank you for asking.
James Franklin, would you like to coach at LSU? No, but thank you for asking.
Urban, would you like to coach at LSU? No, but thank you for asking.
Jimbo, would you like... Say no more. Yes.
Ok, we offer you the job...

None of your examples (other than the last line) are an actual offer. So even in your ridiculous scenario, they would have only made one offer.

Is it that short? Show up to practice. Don’t vacation during the season. Don’t cheat on your wife. Make a playoff once in 4 years - especially if you are going to promise it.
Seems reasonable.

It’s hard to tell with you. I can only go off of past takes, and I haven’t been impressed.
