Why does “getting a deal” matter so much to some LSU fans?

Why is so much of the chatter around LSU fans about ways the buyout might or did get reduced? It’s not their money!
Auburn fans ran off Hugh with the then highest buyout ever, and we all remember it here well. Not a single discussion about trying to cheat him out of it for affairs or whatever bullshite. None of this “he was actually an a-hole” bullshite. Just that’s big boy football pay the man and move on
Then A&M blows it out of the park with the Jimbo buyout, and the Ag collective didn’t spend a moment thinking about how to do anything but pay it. And Jimbo is a confirmed a-hole.
Then this year we get the huge James Franklin buyout with almost no chatter of how to make it a lower amount from PSU fans. No searching for a deal
But LSU fires a coach- for less than A&M and close to PSU- and there is more chatter about ways to frick Kelly out of the money than we got from the other three firings combined

It doesn’t matter to me. I could care less. Todd Graves is giving LSU most of it to buy out the contract.
Kelly’s gone, LSU has the money, all is good.

Good luck trying to insinuate that the school that paid its last 2 Champion coaches to go away is cheap. Thanks for the advice, but we know what we’re doing making coaches go away. We get a championship out of them first.

I don’t think that a tacky split with BK moves the needle with prospective replacements. Dude was an entitled prick and drunk driving our shite, Ags should know about that!

Because they see Kelly as the coach that screwed over LSU, and they want to return the favor. Cheap out, and it will not be seen in a good light by future potential coaches. LSU had a deal and should honor it
