LSU fans would hate Franklin. His personality would be too abrasive. He also hasn’t ever accomplished anything at a national level.

People quite literally forget that the reason Franklin has a $95M contract is because LSU made an offer to hire him. Mel Tucker got one too, because LSU made an offer to hire him.

If they're smart they'd have Brent Key on their short list. The guy is cut directly from Saban cloth because he coached under him for years. Listen to his press conferences, he sounds a lot like Saban, just like Cignetti does. Key's teams play a very physical style of football which is what the Tigger fanbase likes.

Key played and graduated from GT. Just like Lea played and graduated from Vandy. Successful coaches at their schools arent just going to walk away. Basically, you can likely take them off any list.
It's the NIL era of college football...anyone can win anywhere with the commitment in resources at any program.

I'd make him say no to a very lucrative deal. If he says no, then he says no. But you have to at least try.

Auburn is who should hire Franklin. Sure, he'd lose to Bama & UGA every year, but he'd beat most everyone else which would be a massive upgrade over what they've had the last decade. Plus, Auburn seems to strike lightning in a bottle every 10 years or so. I could see that happening with Franklin.
