It's gotta be Joe Brady right?

If they go NFL, it should be Kelvin Sheppard. He would kill it there..

Brady isn’t leaving the NFL. He made one stop at LSU, but that was just to get him back to the NFL. Don’t ever see Brady coming back to college.

God, LSU fans would be so hyped and pimp the hell out of such a hire.

He left the NFL to go to LSU. How was taking the LSU job getting him back to NFL?

This isn’t a draft, you don’t have “first pick”. It’s an open market and you better have a better contract offer than your competitors.

He was an offensive analyst for Sean Payton in New Orleans.
He was Co-Offensive Coordinator for LSU’s record breaking 2019 National Championship team. He was credited for a lot of LSU’s offensive success that year.
Matt Rhule took notice and offered him the Carolina Panthers Offensive Coordinator job.
So…. Yes, the LSU job spring boarded his NFL career greatly and got him a much higher gig as OC from just being an analyst.

Doesn’t Brady deplore recruiting?

Brady isn’t leaving the NFL but he would be a great hire. He could hire great recruiters and just be the offensive genius that he is.

Does a HC have to recruit much anymore? Doesn’t the collective seal the deal now instead of the in home visits?

That label has followed him when he got the job in Buffalo. That’s a team that has a shot at the Super Bowl. No way he goes back to college

Your answer is just down the road, Jon Sumrall. He’s a coaches coach and obviously knows the state and high school football. He’s not going to be at Tulane next year, you might as well get him before Aubie or the Soo Piggies.

Drink is a great coach. I think his hubris will keep him from being a high end winner
