That's what my guy said. They absolutely will take a run at Lane, and it's up to Lane. If he declines, (which they are anticipating), then it's Summerall. Safe, smoothest transition, cheaper, keep a ton of staff in place. Summerall knows the state, knows the SEC, and knows LSU.

I hear that they are broke due to BK's buyout and are just planning on firing up a PS2 with a copy of Madden 07 and hitting the "ask Madden" button to call plays. ChatGPT will be running recruiting efforts.

LSU fans will still say that this arrangement will win them a natty.

Todd Graves(Raising Canes) paid the buyout for Kelly. Will pony up a lot for the new coach. LSU has plenty of $$$$....This is from RELIABLE SOURCES...

That’s what I’ve been saying. Save money get a good coach who is familiar with the state and more money for NiL.

Sources close to the situation say that an OC in C-USA has agreed in principle to a contract. It'll be announced towards the end of the week.

I personally wouldn’t hate the sumrall hire at all. It makes alot of sense from the LSU side.

LSU fans who are still living actually have some experience with their team winning them.

Reportedly $25m buyout. And they fired Kelly before the assistants, which according to their contracts they get no buyouts if Kelly is fired first. I’d expect at least 3/4 of them to get canned, including the entire offensive and ST and SC staffs.

So agree, fans say throw around money, administrators know the cost. Start with a local..if ya whiff, then go big. It's easier to replace a cheaper local small guy, than a big time whiff
