So, here we are. 0-5 in conference, only one conference win at all since 2023, and 0 wins at home in the last two seasons.

This week, leading up to the Tennessee game, you could tell Stoops is resigned that this is the end. He looks and sounds discouraged and realizes now he's lost the fan base and that it's really time to go. He stayed one to two years too long.

With that said, he took Kentucky to places they hadn't been since Bear Bryant was here. He made us one of the overall better defensive teams in the conference, and when we could manage a decent offense, we won a lot of games. He needs to be appreciated by the fans, even though the relationship has soured.

Here's what I propose. Make Sexton earn his money. If Va Tech is interested, work out a trade that works for both sides. Kentucky pays a lesser buy out and Stoops goes there, and isn't fired. It's a win/win for both schools.

Kentucky needs to find an offensive minded coach, because Boley is going to be in the heisman conversation and we need to keep him. It's a lot like when we wanted to keep Couch and hired Mumme.

But the difference has to be, it can't be a one sided hire, you are going to have to give the HC the ability to hire a really good DC and staff. If you can do that, we have a lot of pieces we can keep, and it won't be so much like starting over. Don't do that, and many of those pieces, including Boley might leave. A lot of teams will want him and some of the other young players we have.

We'll see how it plays out. I think 99% of our fans are ready to move on, and I think it's best for Stoops as well.

Arkansas you should keep Petrino to run your offense, and hire Stoops to be the DC. He can then reunite with Cal.

I'm personally kinda leaning more towards Stein than Sumrall at this point. Giving him his shot is a gamble but it could pay off big time for us. With Mitch and Eli on their way out, the level of buy in from the administration on down may make a rapid dynamic shift over the next couple of seasons.

I am too, but mainly because I think Sumrall ends up at Auburn. He's an Alabama native.

I don't know much about Stein, but I know he's a creative offensive mind, and as long as we make sure he brings in a competent DC, I'm good. We have to keep Boley and some of the young guys onboard.

Up in the North :-), the word is that Iowa might be interested in Kirk Ferentz retires. They won't pay a buyout that's nuts for him, but they would take him.

It's clearly time for y'all to get rid of Stoops, but I will say that I'm impressed with your guys still playing hard and not giving up.

Little confused on this. So im guessing Bush made the call? If so, if Stoops stays is offensive staff getting overhauled?

I understand him. He busted his butt for KY and brought them levels of winning i haven't seen in my lifetime and the fans do nothing but whine and moan.

He should leave, and fast.

It's crazy how quick perception can change, Stoops was looked at as someone larger programs might poach just a few years ago.

IF stoops stays I think everyone else goes, which I don't see him doing.
