Damn shame there are no other good coaches in the SEC.

People are also going to go after Drink, Lea, and Elko (they just get him a big raise).

Elko will get a raise.

Lea is a possibility but he’s also a vandy alum, so it’s going to take a LOT to get him out of there. I think if vandy pledges for more facility support, increasing assistant coaching salaries and more nil support, Lea won’t leave. Vandy doesn’t have to match other schools salary offerings to keep him, just keep growing football support.

Lea will get offers. Even as a Vandy alum, Vandy will need to give him a significant raise. He may decide to strike while the iron is hot.

Ironically, LSU collapsing might be the biggest issue for Florida.

Both schools have their advantages, but I think objectively LSU is in better shape currently, and has easier recruiting. LSU is more likely to lock in their recruits earlier so you know who you have, while Fla pulls from a great pile, but you just aren't sure if Miami or Fla State might snag a particular guy.

He is going to coach every team that isn't Ole Miss.

Watching the LSU fanbase BEG for Lane after all the Brian Kelly is better than Kiffin asshattery we've heard for 3 years has been so satisfying.

LSU is a nightmare fanbase to deal with.

You either win a NC within 5 years or you get fired. Even if you win one they'll fire your arse a couple years later.

UF may be worse though simply due to a schedule that is insane every single year. Miami and FSU plus UGA and the random SEC gauntlet.

Whoever goes to either will probably get fired within 5 years.

Go to LSU and win a national championship and get fired a couple seasons later in front of 500 fans in Dead Valley

For the record, both Kiffin and Lanning were my picks to succeed O.

No one expected it to be Kelly. Half this board thought it was going to be Riley.

I also don't think Kelly is getting fired this year...

I get why both want kiffin but both also have some pretty good backup options with Joe Brady and Jedd Fisch

On Gameday he was talking about renovating the sides of the stadium now.

I think he's going to be pushing hard to get Vanderbilt to invest to the level he needs.

Brady has let it be known he hated recruiting and has no intentions of coming back to the CFB world. However, money has this weird way of making someone change their mind.

Jokes on you, we're bringing in Urban and Saban as Coordinators..Coach O coming back as our Dan Campbell Rah-Rah guy on the sideline headset..stealing Barton Simmons and Jerry Kill from Vandy too.
