Eli does the job of the modern HC. He recruits, he uses the portal, he gets donors to open their wallets. Now, does he need to grow up and hold his coaches accountable, yes. The SEC is big boy football, wasting teams with Moore is not a SEC move.

Agreed. He needs to accept his role as CEO/Czar of Mizzou football. Gets the facility upgrades. Wines and dines boosters. Hypes the program and sells it to recruits and portal targets.
And above all, knows when it’s time to move on from weak links. Both at the QB position and at the OC position.
He has elite guys for the RB room and the WR room and the Dline room.
His weakness since he got here has been the QB room and the OC. He needs to look in the mirror and if he does, he will be able to make that upper level step he hasn’t achieved yet.
I dunno. We will see what Moore actually can call now that they’re forced to play the QB with the most innate arm talent they’ve had. (They were never truly forced to start Horn).
Maybe QB skills have hindered Moores growth as a play caller. I dunno. These final games now should tell Eli all he needs to know about the offensive scheme and playcalling.

Spot on.
If we get another noodle arm, running QB winning our "QB competition" ... time to move on.
Our offense is a disservice to the defense (legit NC level).

Well you can get someone else to do that. He and Moore shrivel up against real competition.

We could.
We could also hire the next Mike Norvell. Or Bryan Harsin. Or Jeff Lebby. Or DeShaun Foster. Or Brent Pry. Or Sam Pittman. Or Trent Dilfer. Or Billy Napier. Or Tom Hermann. Or Jay Norvell. Or Ryan Walters. Or Neal Brown.

Drink is going to have to take a hard look at the OC and QB coach.
At a minimum, Gleeson needs to go IMO. I was pretty meh on the hire but Drink had done a pretty good job of hiring his staff up to that point. They were coming off a really good offensive season too. Cook took a step back under his tutalege and Beau looked clueless once conference play started. I'd take a look at the lower levels and find an OC that is getting the most out of his passing game.
Im on the fence about Moore. He ran a very good offense his first year. The play calling has been very predictable the last two years which has resulted in slow starts and close games. Id give him one more year with a good QB coach and Zollers.

I don't think Moore wants to be at Mizzou. My reasoning is he is about 2 months away from completing his contract. I believe he avoided an extension and buyout to make himself more attractive for a G5 HC position.
If he doesn't get a HC job, does Drink move on? He needs a new solution anyway. And signing Moore is going to met with resistance.

Moore is calling shite to not lose. He's playcalling like a scared little pussy who thinks Batoons defense will bail him out. He doesn't have the personality to get in the face of his players at halftime and convey the type of mindset necessary to kick it up a notch and win that fricking game. He needs to grow a pair over the bye week.

I think Moore has let empowerment get in the way. After Cook's play cost them vs LSU and UGA, Drink told him he needed a QB coach. He hired one and now I think there are too many hands on the tiller because the play calling is not what we saw in 2023.

He needs to come up with an aggressive gameplan that utilizes Zollers strengths, but he had better lay off the designed QB runs for a while, unless he wants Tommy Lock.
