Sayin leads the nation in completion percentage.
Best WR room in the country, including the best player in College Football.
Their young RB's look like beasts (especially Bo Jackson).
And their D is probably better than last year.
Every team in the country has a loss except Indiana & aTm.
Are you really going to pick Indiana or aTm over Ohio State?
Every other team has already proven that they are beatable, because they all have a loss.

They’ll get to the final four but I think k they’ll stumble. It’s a lot harder to win back to back in a 12 team playoff. Georgia was fortunate it happened at the end of the four team format.

They only beat Texas by 7. They're beatable.

Ohio State looks like a great team. But who have they played that is worth a damn? I recall those Nebraska teams in the 80's looked like world beaters many times but they never played anyone outside of OU. Then came bowl season and they got their arse handed to 'em because they weren't battle tested.

First game of the year with a Freshman QB, Freshman RB's, revamped OL.
I think their strategy was to let their D dominate and not allow their Freshman Team Offense F it up.

They're very good. Talented, well coached.

They have played the following #ovr (off, def)

#11 Texas (58, 1) (W 14-7)
#23 Washington (28, 27) (W 24-6)
#27 Illinois (18, 48) (W 34-16)
#49 Minnesota (76, 19) (W 42-3)
#79 Wisconsin (109, 49) (W 34-0)
#94 Ohio (89, 92) (W 37-9)
FCS Grambling (W 70-0)

So no, I'm not going to hand them a trophy yet.

Is that supposed to mean that their D isn't giving up fewer than 6 points a game ?

Ohio State is going to lose 2 games at least. One in the BTT game (if they make it) and again in the playoffs.

We don't know how good Ohio State is because they aren't playing good teams. Only 2 teams with a pulse you have played are Texas and Illinois that are borderline T25 and neither has much of an offense. You won those games and that's great. Let's see what happens when you play someone that can punch back. The rest of your schedule has a few trap games at best.

FWIW it isn't your fault that Texas and Penn State decided to be overrated disasters. I do wish you played Indiana in the regular season. The B1G seems to always be so top heavy compared to the SEC, it seems like half your schools are just happy to get those fat checks from Fox and I guess now from some PE firm.

The 70s and 90s cornhuskers had the same schedule types but did just fine in bowl season.

They won’t repeat

Their defense is overrated. Illinois is kind of like the B1G’s Vandy, good offense, not so good defense. They moved the ball on Ohio state with ease and just had tons of self inflicted wounds

Ohio state offense has looked pretty good but nothing special. They haven’t played anyone yet who has a good defense

I’m not convinced they even win their conference title game, let alone multi playoff games. Their team will be walking into the post season having never had to play a top 15 worthy team, or even a team that is at least elite on one side of the ball

Thanks for enlightening me as to how overrated they are.
They fooled me with that National Title, being undefeated, being ranked #1, and having a defense yielding the fewest points in over 30 years.

Silly me

I'm sure Vanderbilt will take them down.
If not Vandy then probably some SEC team that lost to unranked FSU.
Yeah, that makes more sense.
My bad.

It was week 1, in a defensive slugfest with a first time starter at QB and a new defensive coordinator in his first game and a new offensive coordinator in his first game.

Texas' defense is currently 12th in the country.

I don't think so. They played Texas about the same as Kentucky. Michigan and the playoffs will be but cutting time.
