Who is on the list?

OSU
Miami
Alabama
UGA

ND?
Ole Miss?
A&M?
LSU?
Mizzou?
Vandy?
Indiana?
Oregon?
UT?
Texas Tech? (surely not)
uta? (surely not - one more loss, and they'll be out of chances to prove it)
BYU (surely not)
Georgia Tech? (surely not)

Seems to me like we know that the NC is going to be one of these teams:

OSU, Alabama, UGA, ND, Miami, and I don't think I can include anyone else. Maybe A&M or Ole Miss plays their way on that list if they keep wining.

Outside of OSU, zero teams have looked perfect. No one trusts Cristobal at Miami. And with a ton of teams making the playoffs, who else knows what happens.

UGA could easily have 3 losses right now. I think they are above the rest of the pack but maybe not in that top 3 and I'm not convinced Alabama should be there either.

That's a good point. They get a lot of grace because of roster talent and elite success over the last few years.

I wish I felt the same way about Alabama as others do.

But I'll be honest, I'm not really buying Alabama being all that great just because they beat Vandy and Missouri. The Georgia win was good, but it looks like Georgia has itself lost a step.

I like the attitudes of the players a lot more lately, that's for sure. But I can see this team winning the rest of it's game, and I can also see them losing multiple games. Those last 2 games were too damn close for me to be all that confident in them.

Yeah I'm not sure I feel very confident in Bama beating teams like Ohio State, Miami, or even Oregon (who I still think is one of the better teams this year).

I do laugh at you people who obviously know NOTHING about how good Tx Tech really is.

I think Tech will be playing in at LEAST the Semis.

Tech has looked very good. I still can't tell if they are really that good though. Utah was in it and Tech exploded late and Utah really hasn't looked very good.

Neither has OSU, they are pretty overrated this year IMO

If somebody gave you 50 to 1 odds, putting their $5000 to your $100 on Texas Tech winning the national champion ship, would you take it?

I think Vegas has them as +1800, meaing (I think) that a $100 bet on Tech wins you 1800. I sure as hell would not put my $100 on them for that payout.

Tech is the dark horse in that bunch and should be considered the one team no one wants to face.

They barely beat Penn State and got whipped at home against Indiana.

They aren't good.

Tech has won every game by at least 24 points.

They are good.

Texas Tech reminds me of SMU last year. Don't beat anyone good until the playoffs, then get exposed.

No one looks great, I wouldn’t pick any of these teams even osu to win any of the prior 4 team playoffs. Sooner or later we have to change our vision of what a natty contender looks in the new era. the saban bamas the 18 and 19 tigers respectively. No one is going to look like that anymore. Parity is real and the gap between the top ten and everyone else has shrunk drastically.

Lost to a team that Mississippi State beat.
