You can bet the 2-3 agents that own every coach are about to eat with a big job opening.

11.6M for a 63 year old who hasnt even coached 2 full seasons yet is crazy but I get Indiana has never seen success like this before.
This probably bumps the open market for Kiffin up to 11 or 12M

Cignetti is literally the only d1 coach ever to go 8-0 in consecutive seasons at two different colleges.

If DeBoer is playoff bound, he’s getting an extension even if he lifts no trophies. Jimmy business is afoot.

His buyout is a reasonable (relatively speaking) $15 million under the new contract...a little over 1 year's salary.
I wish that would become the norm. I'm cool with salaries being whatever...you do your job and you keep raking it in. But the era of full guaranteed contracts and $70+ million buyout clauses needs to end.
Edit...nevermind. Fully guaranteed...the madness continues. I should have known better. $15 million must be what he'd have to pay if he left. These contracts are so one sided that they should be illegal. The Jimmy Sextons of the world really f'ed up the pay scales...mainly using the Saban Dynasty at Bama as the dangling carrot to retarded ADs so those contract stipulations became "the norm"...which is a big reason we have millionaire QBs and paid players in the college game now.

What did we give Mike Shula after he went undefeated into November?

Who knew Indiana had that kind of money to spend of football. I thought they don’t care.
Maybe they will resurrect basketball greatness.

Indiana has never seen success before, period. They have the most losses of any FBS team all-time.

$1.8 million a year /6years which ended the short lived period where our basketball coach made more than our football coach.
