Interview with Auburn AD:

When asked whether or not he expects Freeze to be Auburn’s head coach in 2026, Cohen said he has a “never say never” attitude, and used a metaphor about a car not starting to explain his thought process.

“I don’t know if I’m going to walk outside and my car is going to start or not, I think it is,” Cohen said. “I have an expectation it will. But if my car doesn’t start enough, then I will evaluate that and make decisions about my car. But that’s not my expectation at this point about our football program.”

That's not a ringing endorsement which means his days are numbered. He should have stayed at Liberty.

Sounds like the following schools may open up

Penn State
Michigan
Wisconsin

Florida
Oklahoma
LSU
Auburn
Arkansas

Virginia Tech
Oklahoma State
UCLA

+ all of the jobs that open because their coach leaves for one of the above jobs

That's freaking crazy.. plus add all the players that might get poached from those schools, or the players that may come to those schools with the new coach..

This offseason is going to be bonkers..

I think Curt Cignetti's impact at Indiana is a big reason for all of this movement. A school can have a big turnaround in Year 1 or Year 2 if they hire the right coach who can use the portal the right way.

Michigan won’t be open unless they really crater.

Realistically they are doing about as well as they should be doing this year with this team

Yeah I dont think their coach succeeds long term, but I've watched them a couple times and they are pretty limited. I mean you run a TF QB out there and its gonna be a bumpy ride.

If the car does not crank on Saturday, we start searching for a new car on Sunday.

That school is in a ton of debt. I don’t think they are in position to make a big splash hire. They will probably roll
Out with Skipper and Jerry Neuheisel as the OC next year.

If a large number of jobs come open it will cause a pay raise throughout college football, for those coaches being courted and not planning on leaving for another job. The sports agents will all bask in the sunshine.

If Auburn were to run Freeze off, how many coaches will they be paying next year?? Are they still paying Malzhan, Harsin and another one I can't recall his name?
