No good coach will go to Auburn right now.

Auburn would hire Urban Meyer even with his issues.

Auburn is stuck with Freeze for at least another year.

They fired the only coach to actually win a national title game.

They fired the only other one that coached in a national title game.

They fired Harsin before the end of his second season.

The only coach that will go there is one who knows they will get an early retirement.

Auburn has had 6 different coaches win a national championship including 4 in a row from Dye to Chizik and were :13 seconds away from making it 5 in a row.

If you're a winner you can win at Auburn. We just keep hiring losers.

Bill Clark was one of my coaches in high school. I hope he gets back into coaching and he's successful. He's a good guy.

Bill Clark is a good coach. If Auburn doesn’t take him then a school like Arkansas should. He would be a great fit at a place like Arkansas.

AU is so close to Atlanta, and it's proximity to Florida is awesome, AU will land a great coach if they let football minds make the hire

Yes and no.

The boosters want someone they can control, and they're the ones writing the checks, not Joe Blow TUF donor and season ticket holder.

I do agree that geographically they are in a great spot, but when guys like Yellawood want to feel like they're Jerry Jones their ceiling is 8-4 in the current landscape.

I'm just happy Auburn didn't agree to Kirby's reasonable requirements after Auburn considered him the HC job in 2013.

I didnt realize we were still pretending Auburn had a bunch of national titles. This may never get old.

I will agree Auburn was screwed in 04. Nothing else counts. Dye should have won it in 1988 with that elite defense.

Link to ncaa football championships got timed out. Auburn isn’t on there for any of those except 2010 and the ancient one. Grow up. You are not the 2nd best program in the conference behind Bama. Plenty of teams ahead of you bottom feeders.

I think former South Alabama head coach Kane Wommack would be a great fit
