100% chance these schools never win conference:

Ole Miss
Miss St
Mizzou
Vandy
S. Carolina
Arkansas
Kentucky
Auburn

75% chance these schools never win it:

Oklahoma - that's right, I say it's over for the land thieves, move over Nebraska
Florida - nope, they won't do it. Tebow ain't walking through that door and blue/orange color scheme is way too gay
Texas A&M - who am I kidding. Next.
Tennessee - sissy orange colored Nebraska

So now we're down to:

Texas
Alabama
Georgia
LSU

So we make fun of the Big Ten, yet we're in the same boat? 4 real contenders, a few to occasionally make it exciting, and the rest is asswater?

All of these have a decent chance of winning one or more in the next 20 years:

Oklahoma
Florida
A&M
Ole Miss
Auburn
Tennessee

Is that true? Even after Nebraska, A&M, Colorado and Mizzoue left?

And that's why we're not in the "never" category

Especially after those 4 teams left. We were something like 45-12 against those teams in total in the Big 12.

Big 12 replaced them with teams that didn’t lay down against us.

You didn’t put yourself in the almost never category though

You put yourself in the every couple years category, which is something you haven’t done in a very weak conference let alone a strong one

While I disagree with the OP silly to think Texas isn't part of the "can win it the next 20 years" club.

Yes, we were owned by OU and when it was divisions winner of RRS had a free pass to the Big 12 title game. It rarely was the top 2 teams, had it been it would have been Texas vs OU rematch the majority of the time.

You did not win the SEC last year, in fact you got destroyed in the SEC championship game

That's one way to look at it.

Another would be after the initial Big 12 break ups the texas football program went through a pretty dry spell with the end of the Mack era and enduring Charlie + Herman as head coaches.

Remove Ole Miss and Auburn from this list and you are probably right.

Oh no, no my dear Aggie friend. Let's be abundantly clear on this - on paper, Texas WON the SEC last year.

Never is a mighty long time.

Never? Ole Miss might win the league this year.

You do realize Auburn has won the SEC several times under the various formats.

Never? I would never say never for any team.

The answer is 4.
Oklahoma dominated the Big 12 with 14 titles.

The four should get a bigger share of the money and there should be an SEC network dedicated solely to promoting the four.

Where have I seen this before?
