This guy isn't going to take us anywhere but 5-7 or 6-6. He doesn't turn over the ball, but he also rarely makes the big plays (when they count the most). (Freeze has most of the blame of course), but I'm FULLY in favor of seeing what someone else can do at This point. I'm tired of the overthrown TDs and and overall disfunction from the offense with him as our QB. He won't be the QB next year, might as well see what Daniels and yes even knight can do. (Hope I'm wrong guys)

Are they trying to protect Red Shirts?
If so, it’s a losing cause.

I doubt anybody else wants to play in this shite show. They probably prefer to preserve the eligibility for wherever it is they transfer to next.

I think he checked out of the game at half time after the fumble called.

Not defending Arnold, but Jason Campbell was a bust until he got Al Borges, then he was a Heisman Candidate.
Coaching matters. This was a replay of the South Alabama game. Shut down in the second half after a superior coaching staff went into the locker room and made adjustments.

Campbell showed flashes throughout his career. Arnold isn’t in the same ballpark of Campbell’s passing ability.

Arnold also sucked at Chokelahoma.

Which is why I started my post with "Not defending Arnold".
Seriously, at this point, do you think we'd see anything different with another QB? It'd be more of the same.

It looked like Ball State was too much on Deuce's plate. We have no QBs left.

Lord Almighty. Why did we even bring on Daniels then? That second half was Thorne bad just without the ints. For the SECOND straight game ONE solid second half drive would have won us the game. Yes he was solid in the first half, but we're wasting our defense. I'd rather allow a freshman to suck with the excuse of selling the future over a guy who will be like 13/30 no pics But no TDs and a rush Touchdown. He wasn't even accurate last night...... His one true strength

I am not sure why Daniels is in Auburn. It is apparent he wasnt an insurance QB

No matter what he can't be the QB next year. He just cannot throw good enough. Wide open guys and he either overthrows or puts it in the dirt.

Arnold isn’t playing great by any stretch but other than a couple passes he’s doing what the coaches are asking him to do. Just throw the jump ball to Cam. He did and he dropped it right in his hands.
And this is why Freeze and the offensive staff have to go. The post to Singleton that JA “overthrew” yet again another he checks up on their route. That’s not on JA that’s on Singleton but shows that the staff doesn’t hold player accountable if they loaf. We saw it last year every game but blew it off because Cam and Malcolm were true freshman. It’s why KLS was so good because he played every snap like it was his last. Our culture on offense is I’ll play hard if I think I might get the ball.

He can’t throw a good deep ball. He runs well enough that his legs are a threat but not well enough to break good teams. He breaks under adversity and isn’t a gamer. The end zone fumble threw him for an absolute loop.

quote:Besides the missed deep ball to Singleton that all he had to do was put the ball on him... He also missed multiple receivers either low or low and behind. He's just not even close to consistent enough. On top of that, the bigger the moment the more the folds.

He was alone and looked scared on the sideline in the 4th. His body language was one of fear that he would have to try and win the game.

He did put it on him. Singleton checked up on the route. I’m not trying to defend JA I’m saying the entire offense is broken. No accountability.

JA has issues, but he is doing well enough to win. It's hard when your HC, who calls the plays, looks like he is about to cry EVERY game.

quote:I'd have to see if again, but even if that's true its still only 1 throw. He missed so many other easy ones and has all year. He's not the worst player ever, but he's not good enough to be the QB next year unless he shows major improvement. Even though he has no ints, there has been like 6 or 7 that hit defenders right in the hands.. at least 2 last night.

My point has never been that Jackson is the only issue but remember..... The staff said that they've all but eliminated EVERYTHING that he DOESN'T do well. That means what we saw last night was a series of plays that he's supposed to have mastered. If that was the best that he can accomplish 6 games in Let's get the freshman ready. Let's not allow Thorne to happen again......
