Sounds like UT got a bargain with Sark over that hyperinflation brought in by Jimbo

Is this a Progressive ad?

I would be interested to see first 70 games - which can be done when this season is over.
Whale, whale, whale...

Sarks made two conference championship appearances in two separate conferences, made back to back semi final appearances, and produced over 20+ NFL Prospects in two seasons. He definitely mismanaged a few important aspects of the roster this season, but he’s accomplished much more than Jimbo at A&M. I think his biggest issue is Flood at OL coach. He had multiple years to have a succession plan on the offensive line, and that’s what we roll out there.

Whale, lookie here
Steve Sarkisian is 2-8 vs top 10 teams at Texas. He’s 5-18 vs top 10 teams all-time.
Last season, he played 1 SEC team who finished the season ranked & lost to that team (twice).

And won 2 playoff games against ranked teams. When was the last time OU won a playoff game?

The dude is an average coach at freaking best. There's just no way around it.

1-7 vs top 5 teams. Losing record against ranked teams. He is a fraud who feasts on bad teams. What great team did we beat last year? ZERO. We played 3 great teams. (georgia 2x and osu) and he looked lost on offense. The Big 12? lol. He did beat bama which is still a miracle but he lost to the only other 2 good teams we played (ou and Wash).
You can believe what you wish but it's going to be a painful tenure for you if you think this meathead can actually win it all.

39-21
41-19
So they’re both known as Texas 8&4 henceforth?

you not telling a lot of us anything we don't already know. He's not going to get it done here. a large portion of our fanbase know this already.
The rest? Give them time. the last 2 coaches were such disasters they are like a woman who left an abusive boyfriend and ended up with a lazy bum. At least he doesn't hit her.
That's where we are with sark.

He would probably crush it if he hired a real OC and ceded play calling duties to him. He can help with practices and play design but once gameday comes he needs to act like a real leader and coach the team and trust the staff he has hired to do their jobs.
Sadly he is too stubborn to do that and likely will agree to it only once it's already too late.

They said the same thing about Ryan Day

Sounds like the fanbase is split on Sark right now. Half defend him and half don’t.

I don't know if he is capable. Jimbo couldn't. He threw the Petrino feint out there and first game out of the gate was awesome....creative, sneaky, devious...like Petrino.
Jimbo decided that he couldn't have that because it makes him look bad and so after the one game it was back to the plodding Jimbo show.
I'm pretty sure Sark has that same type of ego that prevents him from giving up the reins.
