Just happened to me. If our defense could have moved as fast as my 55 year old arse just did, we would have won yesterday.
That and my heart is in good shape…. frick…

Had to get that out. Not sorry.

Had tons of them in AZ especially during their baby birthing time in April/may/june. They love to crawl in your shoes and can fit literally under any door to squeeze in the house. Shine the black light at night and see how many you see in the back yard/patio etc.

No but I did get chased by a very mad Pit Bull and probably on steroids by looking at his muscles. Also, I run fast when scared for my life apparently.

Where you live, hill country?

We don't have scorpions where I live now, but when I lived south of Abilene, oh hell yes.

When I was stationed at the Stumps in CA they would always get in our boots.

I’ve had ‘em sting me. I’ll still say a red wasp is the meanest sting I ever had. Especially those aggressive bastards.

My old man got hit in the nutsack by a scorpion… His reaction was not subdued.

I barely dodged the same thing. Put on some shorts that had been laying on the bed and something fell out. Look down and it's a scorpion.
Killed 3 this weekend. Their sting puts a hurting on me. Besides the sting site, my lips and tongue go numb for 5 or 6 hours.

Got stung by one in Navasota Texas at our farm. It stung for a little while but was a nothingburger. Maybe some people are allergic to the poison, I definitely was not.

No but damn near was killed by an armadillo. Pitched
camp on top of Big Buff above the Buffalo river right around
sunset. Laid my head down on a rotting log just several feet away
from the edge of the bluff to watch the sun go down , when something
started moving on the other side of the log. Made me suddenly raise
up with one leg over the edge of the bluff before recovering.
First armadillo to see in Arkansas..Didn't know they were even in the state.
Ugly frickers and do not recommend using them for a pillow.

The only one I feel bad for in this story is the scorpion.
