McCallie vs. Baylor in Chattanooga Friday night. They have combined for the last 5 state titles.
After McCallie dropped this video today, they have to win. Losing is not an option.

Shouldn’t they be practicing for the game instead of making productions like this?
Also, I worked with McCallie years ago and the folks there that I was in contact with were by far the most uppity and entitled people from any high school I worked with across a 6 state territory. Nice people, but they felt their shite didn’t stink for sure.

So many questions...
Was that a class project for a grade?
Why is there a 30+ year old woman in high school?
What are the boating and lake references? Was there an accident? That would be kind of shitty.
These large private schools with big donors are worse than CFB programs in terms of corruption.
That said, haven't heard of either school and do not recall a lot of blue chip talent coming out of Chattanooga in the recruiting cycles.

The head of Baylor was arrested for a DUI while boating a year ago. So it’s fair game to make fun of

A bunch of grown men criticizing high school kids trying to have fun with their rivalry week. What a damn shame. You should be embarrassed.
These are the top 2 teams in the state, who happen to be in the same city. It’s a big deal to these kids. And here come the boo birds, shitting on literal children trying to have fun and make something creative with a high production value.
I’m sure you knuckle-draggers could make a better video than what these kids did, right?
Is this going to win a Grammy, go viral, or top the charts? Of course not. But it’s better than anything I could make, and better than anything my high school even thought about trying to make.
I give them credit for trying to do something hard and having the balls to put it out into the world. I give them credit for having school spirit in an era when loyalty to your school and team is at an all-time low.

I think it’s pretty funny and my daughter is a Baylor alum. It’s definitely a better than the stupid Shiite we did when I was at boarding school.

No, sweetheart. I'm not picking on kids.
I'm picking on the grown men in their 30s and 40s who act like where they went to high school makes them better than their peers - peers who haven't thought about high school, or even college, in 20+ years.
I'm not coming after the kids. I have zero issues with the hype videos. They do one every year. They put a lot of work into it, and that's perfectly fine. But I do expect adults to grow out of it.
The fact of the matter is that McCallie/Baylor matters in this town to a specific contingency of people. The private/public divide in Chattanooga is a vestige of aristocratic behavior.
