They say defense wins, but offense controlled the ball and won this game IN SPITE of the defense. When was the last time we had that many third down attempts?? The defense was shite through a tin horn... Offense won this.

I’d like t9 see some adjustment to what the defense was doing in the 2nd half. The first half was a masterpiece.

Going to need this in the next few weeks with the defensive injuries for sure.

Despite the rushing yards I was pleased with the offensive line. They went into a hostile environment and did what was needed to win, give Ty time. Penalties were significantly less too.

Ball control won the game no doubt. We knew we couldn't run on Georgia but actually did pretty decent with very few negative plays. I'm somewhat encouraged it's getting better.

Georgia started rushing 3 dropping 8 and dared us to run. We didn't do very well

I mean, we didn't score any points in the 2nd half. We did enough on offense to win, but we need to figure out how to adjust to the opponent's second half adjustments to keep the offense humming in the second half.

The 1H offensive gameplan was one of the best in recent Bama history.

2H I have some questions, but Kirby made some solid adjustments so you have to rip your hat a bit.

We ran the ball so much that UGA could rarely pin its ears back and come after Ty. That was beneficial to us keeping Ty clean the whole night. I don’t know that they even knocked him to the ground once despite 39 pass attempts. It was a VERY good performance from the OL as far as I’m concerned.

I hope we can start to settle on a rotation though. I think we’d be better as a unit if the same guys were working together in the same spots. Tons of rotation there tonight through the game.

We still have problems where the pull and cross blocks don't really have great effect because the linemen just aren't fast enough. There were a few times where we ran a counter and the pulling linemen just were getting to the spots quick enough for the back to do anything other than just get mucked up in the crowd.

I've repeated this a few times recently: we don't need an elite running game, we just need an adequate run game. I've made the comparison to the mid-2010s Clemson teams. They weren't the kind of team that was going to win against most quality opponents by handing off to their backs but they'd do it effectively enough (~3ypc) that you couldn't just disregard the handoff. This opened up the play fake and kept the defense honest.

I thought Alabama would need to average 3ypc to have a shot and they averaged 3.1ypc. They need to get better at answering the bell when they need a tough yard. However with the game on the line, they got it done this time albeit with the decisive play being a sorta bootleg waggle that was essentially an option on one defender (Ty would've ran for it if the defender went with Miller).

i disagree with the perfectly called game, from grubb. his calls kept bama behind the chains, especially the second half. kept running the ball somewhere near up the middle on first down for little to no gain. kept the pressure on ty to convert 2nd and long or even 3rd and long. just my quick thoughts without reviewing the game.
