I'm happy for him and OU then. Would be nice if Mateer can play fully like some other QBs have with similar injuries.

Good. We have always wanted to play OU at full strength so their whiny fanbase can’t make excuses after another drubbing this year

The right thumb, bone nearest the hand.

From what I've heard - thumb. Not displaced, which really improves his chances of healing quickly.

He played 3 quarters with a broken thumb and was 14 of 15 passing in the 4th quarter, to the dismay of Auburn fans.

You know of other QBs who played 3 quarters with a broken thumb, engineered a winning drive, and completed 93% of their passes in the 4th quarter?

Can you provide some examples?

I'm pulling for him to play because injuries suck as$. But curious, how was the "expected" surgery results different than what happened. Was it not broken as bad or??

Easy, Friend. No need to have a chip on your shoulder.

I am merely referring to the examples everyone following Mateer's injury has probably read about. Like Jared Goff playing again after a mere 2 weeks after undergoing a repair on his throwing hand.

I heard one of the refs broke his penis while giving Auburn a severe screwing. He's consulting with Rodman's surgeon tomorrow.

Probably just a vicious rumor though.

Yeah, your post seemed completely friendly. After I saw the response, I was wondering if I'd missed something.

Not a broken thumb but,
Chris Simms played an NFL game with a ruptured spleen, almost died. Taken to hospital immediately after game for emergency surgery.
