Arch compared to Peyton and Eli: First 6 college starts
Horns are holding our breath, keeping fingers crossed, and are not yet bragging as much as usual…
But if Arch has actually broken through his early stage fright slump and keeps learning his way through SEC defenses, y’all’s future melts shall be delicious…

And won't it be grand?

No, no one's predictions on this board have ever come back to bite them in the arse

They might have to pause this Board indefinitely…

What prediction??
Just a rhetorical question to start the morning coffee chat…

5 of those 6 games were against very very bad teams. Makes it kind of difficult to compare.

To be fair, I don’t think it’s just a “haterz” from other schools thing — your own fans booed him in your own stadium.
But sure, he could turn it around.

Not everything's about you
That was sarcasm about the board itself. They're always wrong about everything. You can't let it get to you
If you want a real blast from the past for an example, see below

It's possible, but flexing over a Sam Houston player is not a good look.

I thought he was overrated in high school and from what I have seen so far in college. He has probably been coached up more than any QB that has ever played. He plays with top tier talent. It is kind of hard to believe it will be possible for him to fail...i just think he is living off his name and its likely Texas may have a better qb on the bench.

Yeah, I’ll admit we have too many entitled fans who expect instant gratification…
I actually don’t think the ags would publicly boo a new starting QB of their own so early…

Myself and many others in the state of Louisiana have been saying since his sophomore year of high school that he didn't look like a future elite college QB. By his senior year it became pretty apparent to those who actually watched him play against better competition in playoff games.
It had nothing to do with the fact that he was never going to come to LSU. It was not "coping". He just flat out wasn't all that impressive.
I actually thought he'd be performing A LOT better right now due to the talent within the Texas program. He's on a loaded team and he still hasn't looked like an "elite 5 star talent".
If he were a freshman I'd give a pass. Hell even a true sophomore. The "kid" is turning 22 this academic year. Of course he can improve. Of course he can win games with arguably the best roster in the country around him.
But watch him actually fricking play football. It's just not very impressive.

Well mama already fussed at Arch, so I’m going to assume she did her job… plus assuming that same SH defensive player talked shite to him earlier, I’m gonna give Arch a pass…
What I did like was the return of Arch Energy…
Horn fans were in a coma on life support before the Sam Houston game…

Arch flexed on Sam Houston State

I honestly wish the guy the best. He seems to have poise in an interview but still needs some maturity on the field. In one hand he has all the pressure to be as good or better than his family name but on the other hand dude will have it made no matter what happens. Is that affecting his work ethic or attitude? We can’t say but for now most would agree he has some work to do.

No one is saying the kid can't be, or won't be, good. Everyone is simply saying he didn't deserve all the hype Paul frickbaum and everyone else gave the kid.
You get that, right?

This must be your nightly splooge pic, sip. When Arch turns into the biggest bust in your program's history, will you still be able to beat the bishop with this pic?

Oh yeah, I get it, and agree the pre-production Arch hype was insane, and counterproductive for the kid…
Paul F and his ilk are constantly throwing out chum, fishing for clicks … this seems to be the way these talking heads make their $$$$…

Very possible. After all… 95% of Texas fans thought Ewers should have been on the bench. Same fans thought Arch was going to come out this year and put up Heisman numbers.
So yes…. If your own fanbase got it that wrong then the board can to. Unlikely.
