Despite the refs, 10 sacks, horrible special teams play and absolutely no running game, we were winning this game with 5 minutes left.
I still think we win 9 games.

A&M is not the game I feel good about.
Their crowd is more intense.
Number 2- less time to game prep.
Number 3- Another long trip to Midwest America (not SEC)
Number 4- hangover effect
Number 5 - We are due a turnover

I rarely think things are a must win, but man things will get ugly if we lose to A&M. Fanbase is not going to be able to handle much more of “we should’ve played better, can’t make those mistakes, etc”.

Oklahoma has a much more dangerous QB and an exponentially better defense. We'll see.

We had a clear fumble return for a TD. Overturned.
Had an Okie incompletion going out of bounds that would have changed the scope. Overturned.
Substituting guy hides by the sideline. That’s a penalty on Okie. TD stands.

I think Marcel Reed is better than Mateer.

I don’t see that at all. Marcel Reed is a nice qb but I don’t think he is better than Mateer. Not nearly as good a passer imo.

Agree. Team played its shittest game of the year and still would have won if not for 10-17 pt help from bad officiating.
I thought dirkin actually did well last night and im nowhere near his biggest fan.
Hopefully JA works on getting the ball out quicker next week.

This game is massive. If we win it sets up a legit huge home game against Georgia. It would be our biggest home game prob since 19. The program needs that type of stage and the fans deserve it. If we lose all momentum is gone and the Georgia game will be an after thought nationally and auburn fans will have little to no hope or expectation

Yep, said it Saturday night but at some point we have to actually seize the momentum opportunities. Just like 4th and 31 and a few other examples, we keep allowing opportunities to get things righted slip through our fingers. The stage is there. We have to find a way to finally not beat ourselves.

Completion percentage not as good but it seems he throws for more yards per game.
I looked at Mateer's numbers and the word you can say for him is he is steady. His stat lines vs us and Michigan are pretty similar.
vs. Michigan 21/34 (61.8%) 270 Yards 1 TD 1 INT
vs. Auburn 24/36 (66.7%) 271 Yards 1 TD 0 INT
