Lots of extenuating circumstances today, but I saw a bunch of positives. We looked faster and bigger than previous seasons. I saw a good many young guys (Smith and Feagans) making plays. Arnold had time to,throw vs about as stout a DL as we will play all year. Our execution was lacking but we never just flat out quit when we got down. I feel like there is a chance we might be here…

I'm tired of hearing "we looked good in our loss." Either win or GTFO.

to put that speech in perspective, it came after Dye’s third game as AU’s HC

today was Freezus’ 29th

Yes I saw all this too but frankly Hugh doesn't know how to win games around his qb not playing well which will lead to losing too many games which will lead to him getting fired which will lead to a bunch of these young guys transferring. It is very bleak for me right now, ngl.

Also perspective, back, then you had a huge roster and could sign a shitload of folks. Also when a program was a dumpster fire the players couldn’t all portal out. The only NIL was “Keep it down home cuz”. It cuts both ways.

Exactly.

Look at our record over the past 20 years. It’s not great. The past 10 years have been rough. The past 5 years have been pathetic.

Win or GTFO.

Yeah, that sucks. I wasn’t for Freeze being hired but I told myself, and my thinking towards Coach Prime was the same, even if they get fired after year 3 or 4, the roster will be stocked with good recruiting.
With the disaster that CFB is now with letting folks transfer whenever they want, that thinking doesn’t hold anymore and it really worries me.

We got screwed so hard today. We can be mad at Freeze, Arnold, Durkin, etc., but the fact is we were really done wrong multiple times on game changing plays by an absolutely inept officiating crew.

Hell, there’s uga and lsu fans on the rant saying we got screwed. Who’d thought?

that part

truth be told, CFB has become Great Value NFL

in the NFL, they dont hesitate to get rid of HCs who aren’t getting it done

i was completely opposed to the Freezus hire, not for moral reasons but because i didnt buy the line that he was a great program builder and offensive genius

2 1/4 seasons in i’ve seen absolutely nothing to change my opinion

At least the NFL has limits and rules on free agency. College player can do whatever he wants.

Yeah Freeze had his heyday over 10 years ago. What he's running now worked at Liberty but it simply does not work in the SEC.

I’ve seen some improvement this year, but it’s from accumulating more talent. The coaching is as bad as ever.

How does our ST coach have a job? How did he get the job? Have we ever looked worse on special teams than the last 3 years?

the flip side of that volatility is that you can completely remake your roster in a single season

for example, FSU may make the CFP this year after going 2-10

Yet, we're still making excuses for Hugh 3 years later

Thanks. That makes me feel a bit better.

We are past "getting better". Its time to win

We have to win when we are given the chance

Yep. I said from day 1 that Hugh gets three years to prove he can compete. We will see how he responds from this, but it is put up or shut up time. We go on a run, okay let’s go. If this loss fuels a collapse, don’t see how he survives.
