We are to Tenn what Bama was and is to some degree still is to us until we beat them in the Natty.

Kirby is the monster under Heupels bed

He’s done a helluva job turning them around.

Was 9 rows off the field this weekend. Amazing crowd. Relieved and fortunate to get the W. Didn’t say a word leaving that place.

Many Vols were sitting in their seats 15 min after, staring straight ahead. Long-time time fans know how they feel.

Kirby definitely owns us and no denying that. As a Tennessee fan that grew up during some of the worst times in history for the program, it’s refreshing to have the expectation to win every home game. He’s got to clean it up on the road if he expects to compete for championships and I don’t think we’re there yet.

In our pursuit of the national championship, we often forget how hard it is to just win in this conference. Did I post this as a dig at Tennessee? Yes.

But the truth is Heupel has won at a high level since he's been a head coach at both UCF and UT. People took swipes at Mark Richt, but he was a very good coach. Good enough to make the College Football HOF on his first ballot. If these guys were just business CEOs, no one would say they were failure because they're not Elon Musk or Warren Buffett.

1-1 in head to head nattys. Isn’t that what you play for?

Kind of your super bowl nowadays though unless you are collecting Realiquest Bowl Runner Up trophies.

Ga has more talent than us
This is Heupels team this year everyone on the roster he brought in.

Give him a couple more years to try and get us over the hump.

We Vols know what had when he hit here no one else wanted the job so we have nothing but respect for us.

We know Oklahoma wants him but they burned that bridge I think.

Thanks for the kind words we still have some tough opponents to get by this year including Bama and a couple trap games.

Yep, but a lot easier to take when the one win is a national title and got another one to boot.

You’ve lost a “Natty” and three SEC championships in that span.

Not to mention multiple games where you were skull drug… in your own house

Kirby lost most of those

Honestly, do you think I even care about that after 2021 and 2022?

All that season did was just let us know what was coming.

Again, I don't think you get it. How many national titles have you won since 2020?

This is like a Vol trying to bring up Dobnail Boot or the domination of the nineties. It looks weak.

Georgia has had the most talented team each of those years so I don’t really put much blame on Heupel for that. Looks like talent is getting closer though.

We will have to see the season play out and I don’t know this for certain but Tennessee and Georgia gotta be the two youngest teams in the conference. In the portal era that doesn’t guarantee anything but both teams should be really good next year.

How about last year. Or the year before that in the SEC championship? Is that recent enough for you?

Alabama fans keep forgetting they're just a mid tier team now.

Last year we were SEC champs.

The year before that, most everyone felt like we were better at the end of the season. You lost to Vandy after you beat us, sport. Vandy!!!
