Update: Brian Kelly offered an apology for his behavior in post game press conference.

ESPN - Brian Kelly Apologizes for Post Game Tirade

Brian Kelly has been a head coach too long to be this awkward. Did you guys realize last night’s LSU/Florida game was one of “the SEC classics?” And why is he so angry and defensive?

Because he’s an old bitter Irish drunk?

Didn't you say LSU would lose this game?

Yes. I didn’t foresee Lagway throwing 5 interceptions or the refs calling back a Florida touchdown.

If you had told me that LSU’s offense would only score one touchdown I would have felt very confident Florida would win.

I seem to remember you saying Clemson would beat LSU also.

Seems there's a pattern.

How do you feel about Kelly calling your punter “our weapon on offense today”?

Do you consider your punter an offensive weapon?

Offensive, defensive, I couldn’t care less. Just keep flipping the field with this defense.

That was the exact opposite of a Nick Saban press conference.

Brian Kelly’s message was that it didn’t matter how LSU played, LSU won.

Saban’s message was always that it was all about how his team played, not the score.

That post game press conference was the exact opposite of a Nick Saban post game presser.

The media guys should have buttered him up first before laying into him with the hard questions

Have we discussed your very strange obsession with all things LSU? Maybe you should seek help.

these guys are getting frustrated with the media asking the same dumb obvious questions when they could ask something more specific about the game. Sam Pittman snapped at a reporter last night too

The good news (for him) is if he picks LSU to lose every week, he'll eventually be right.

While that didn’t have the impact of hitting a table, there were some great quotes.

quote:

“That was a one of the SEC classics there.”

quote:

(about punter Grant Chadwick) “He was our weapon on offense today.”

quote:

WE CAN RUN THE BALL!!!

quote:

”Zack Weeks, he doesn’t even know where the Cox Center is for academic support!”

quote:

“Somebody said the tiger was great at dancing in the endzone, to keep everybody happy, since everyone hates the offense.”

quote:

“Maybe we gotta get in the I, the fullback in there, and pound the football.”

Man, you guys loved those Les Miles offenses.
