#3 can't be favored to lose to #20 can they?
The rankings system is beyond broken in CFB.

That outcome wouldn’t surprise me.

Vandy is an underrated team.
Does Bama play them this year?
Does Bama play them this year?

Vandy is underrated and LSU is overrated. Vandy can score and LSU can’t. Simple. LSU loses three games.

Then Vandy should be ranked ahead of whoever they would be favored to beat. Simple enough.

What I'm getting at is not a dig on LSU necessarily. It's how we rank teams in CFB. It makes zero sense.

While CFB rankings are dumb, I'd be hesitant to accept ESPN analytics for anything. Their FPI had LSU 3rd (behind tOSU and Clemson) after winning the championship in 2019

Its ESPN. More like their stupid fpi algorithm is fricked

It's not just ESPN. Vegas has very much similar lines. And nobody knows sports outcomes as well as Vegas does.

Vandy could score last year, too, and lost to a worse LSU defense.

Looks like vandy is 21 in FPI, LSU is 19 and vandy gets a home team boost (LOL)

Nonetheless shouldn't Vandy be ranked higher than they are?
Should LSU be #3?

Fat chance, don’t believe that for a second

Would not be surprised in the least bit. Vandy is legit.

Honestly, wish we could go back to playing them every 4 years or so.

You seem to think that would bother me. It wouldn't.
I know they were a big underdog to several teams last year. They did ok.

I did not have them that high when I turned in my ballot.
How about you?
