I’ve been to 6 SEC stadiums for games in my life, Bama, LSU, UF, Ol’ Miss, LSU and Texas (not sure that counts). Mississippi was by far the best atmosphere, the Bama fans were the most receptive.

Oklahoma has a reputation for being hyper…almost nauseatingly accommodating for visiting fans. I want to add road game to the schedule this year and next with a similar experience. A lot has changed since I attended those games. What schools have the best experiences for visiting fans?

Largely cos who knows when you'll be back on the rotation, but head to Columbia for the Carolina game. It's an experience, and easy drive from CLT.

If you decide to do so, give everyone a heads up on the SC board. Loads of recommendations will flow in.

The actual game wasn’t great, I’m talking about the whole experience, their pregame was fricking insane and they were mostly cool fans. Really generous with their tailgate offerings. Oysters, crawfish and craft beer before a game hits different

Mizzou was in the Big 12 when I was at OU. I had a chance to go then but was so poor I couldn’t swing it. Lots of friends in that area, been meaning to go back. Good suggestion.

While that's cool, and I'm happy for you and all, I was talking about the SC/Oklahoma game.

It's a bit farther away.

Spent my time tailgating. I’ll take that fancy trim vs Texas expensive arse vagina stadium. To each their own…

Williams-Brice is a great atmosphere. I went to a handful of SC games when I was stationed in Charleston. They wore the collar one year and still packed the stadium for every game. Definitely worth the trip.

That makes sense, forgot they’re both in Columbia. Army sent me to Tampa in 2011 and been there since. So the trip isn’t that far. I like it, looking at flights now. I love South Carolina.

Guessing that’s not normal. Yeah, the tent I camped out had a boil dump on a table, like 500 oysters and a craft beer keg. It was fricking dope.
