Bama should hire Gus at a discount.
Would be third greatest coach in school history.

He coached at Tulsa and his offenses there were legit.
Glad to see him wreck havoc on the Alabama defense.

We should open an Alabama at Siberia campus, hire Gus, and then ship his arse out there with a lifetime contract.

I thought it was dumb for AU to fire Gus as NIL was coming onto the scene.
Gus is scary good with a good offensive line and QB who fits his system.

Why he got away from a mobile QB will be an all-time head scratcher. Lamar Jackson wanted to play for him and he passed.

Link? I refuse to believe that's the case. If he would go all in on a converted DB and play for the national title with him, I doubt he'd disregard a guy with that talent. And he had an AU offer, so...

You want a link for an old recruiting topic? LM was a 3* composite out of HS. You find that hard to believe?

AKA once every 4 years.

It still boggles my mind that Auburn fired him. He is on their Mount Rushmore of coaches alongside Shug, Dye and Tuberville.

College programs "offer" hundreds of recruits each class. 95% of them are conditional.

Always thought he was a good OC, just not a good HC.

No it wasn’t. He hired shite OL coach and our OL talent was Div II level, he went away from mobile QB and waffled on calling plays or not. He is in the role he was meant to be, OC. Regardless of the following HC failure or success.

This.
I am as big a Gus fan as you will ever find. OC is what he was born for.

Gus is a much better coach than Deboer. I'm surprised Alabama never pursued him after Saban retired.
I hope Gus next HC position is out of the SEC.

Sometime in the next 5 or 6 games he will have a game where the FSU fans will be going WTF?! It is coming.
