Why do people think that Alabama does not have NIL money?

I would think that a football team that has won as many championships as Alabama would be rolling in plenty of NIL money - where the frick did all of that money go?

Who thinks this?
NIL money is not the issue at Alabama, it’s a head coach who has no idea what he’s doing.
Bama is not the type of place where anyone can win. LSU won with Les Miles and Ed Orgeron. Bama on the other hand, without a guy like Saban, they have no shot.

Recruiting has barely dropped, if at all. NIL to recruit players isn't the issue. DeBoer doesn't know how to develop or coach them.

I thought all the money went to buy Dodge Chargers. I know because I read it here.

Bama has plenty of talent, but right now they are like a listless ship in the middle of the ocean and a mutiny is not off the table

Looking at their recruiting, I assume they have NIL money.
It probably isn't the best in the country, based on some of things folks around the program have said, but it does seem to be there.

It's not about not having it. It's about Saban paying all those players while everyone else had the ncaa watching. Now Bama doesn't have an edge and it's why Saban ran out the door. He saw what was coming. Bama has to outbid lots of schools for each top recruit they used to just hand money and get.

Compare the number of 3rd and 4th year players in the Alabama program now versus in 2017 or 2018.
There isn’t any comparison. Around half of Alabama’s starters have been at Alabama 2 or less seasons.
Former Alabama backs scored 5 rushing touchdowns this past weekend. Alabama could have really used those guys this past weekend. Former Alabama quarterbacks threw 9 touchdowns and zero interceptions this past weekend. One of them would be starting over Simpson. Having Caleb Downs in the secondary sure would help on these running quarterbacks that kill us. Instead we have Joggin’ Bray Hubbard.

If tweet fails to load, click here. No doubt discipline sucks now. But we were already starting to see that under Saban his last two seasons.
How do you motivate and discipline a millionaire teenager who will just leave if you make them mad?

Honestly, from what I understand, Saban had to basically switch from great coaches to great recruiters. His great coaches always got poached/promoted so he brought on a really good recruiting staff that wasn’t highly likely to be poached out. The problem was that they weren’t the traditionally great coaches that Saban always had as understudies. Saban is but just one man and despite a lot of talent, coaching takes a team too

In essence, Bama is nothing without Saban

Recruiting will drop if the ship isn't righted. Programs that develop talent like Bama under Saban, Ohio State, Georgia, etc, don't have to drop as much on high school recruits because they put a ton of players in the NFL. If I'm a blue chip recruit and one of those schools offers 500k with a shot at being developed into a first round pick I'm taking that over higher offers from schools that don't have that track record.

DeBoer is a fraud.

They're poors. It's starting to show.
It was easy for them when a few grand slipped into a palm was enough.
Now it takes millions, and they don't have it.

Didn't Dodge quit making Chargers?
That could be the issue

I think the issue is others have NIL money too.
In years past Bama allegedly compensated players in certain ways that for other programs would have drawn scrutiny.
It’s just a level recruiting game now. It’s not that yall do t have money. It’s that others have just as much as you or more in some cases.
