The game is Saturday. After last year, I'm not talking up our team. I'm just taking one game at a time. We have OL problems but our skill positions are good. Our defense looked solid but seems susceptible to the run. I'm not confident at all but hope we win.

Either way, either Ole Miss or Kentucky will be alone at the top of the conference standings by this time next week simply due to the fact that it's the first conference match up of the season.

I think there's like 3 or 4 who pay attention during not-basketball season.

Yes, but not sure how to respond to such a measured post.

I'm not a Kentucky fan. I'll respond to the post. OM will be favored, but I highly doubt that Kiffin showed all that much of the playbook against Georgia State. I have Multiview through ESPN, and I watched all the SEC games, including four at once Saturday. Dizzying. Both Toledo and Georgia State have pulled off wins against the SEC recently: Toledo against State, and Georgia State against Tennessee and Vanderbilt. I thought both Kentucky and Ole Miss had good opening tests. Of the two teams, I thought Ole Miss was much more explosive and consistent. I would be surprised if Kentucky pulls another upset.

Kentucky's game plan is going to be/should be

- Pressure the QB and exploit the Ole Miss OL
- Force Ole Miss to stop the run and use short passes to the outside bringing the D closer to the line in hopes that it opens up an occasional long ball

Sorry, was enjoying the long weekend like a human being.

We’re going to get murdered. Y’all have nothing to worry about.

UK played better than I expected against Toledo, at least sometimes. Ole Miss is much better than the Rockets. OM 35, UK 14.

Didn't watch much of Ole Miss but that sounds concerning. That QB is the real deal on Ole Miss I think.

Our starting 5 are serviceable but we lack depth. We had too much backfield contact from Georgia State for me to be comfortable.

We've played yall close the past couple of times, but our passing attack looked horrendous. Lifting is just going to stack the box and dare us to beat him in the air.

Kentucky is not good. They, yet again, seem to have a solid defense which is still not good enough to carry the program in the face of bad QB play and an anemic offense overall. Ole Miss will get their revenge and UK will likely go winless in conference play.

Meh. He leads the league in interceptions and 11th in completion percentage.

You all likely get your revenge

That said, team typically looks better rest of the season vs week 1 (we nearly always look like trash) so we will see.

I expect the defense to do the heavy lifting cause unless your defense decides to not step on the field our offense is unlikely to make it past 13 points (and even with no opposition it is questionable).

Look at Ole Miss QB last season when he came in against GA compared to Arch coming in for TX against GA. Ole Miss QB looked composed Arch looked like Ohio State game.

We should win, and I hope we do, but no shite-talking will escape my lips this week.

I honestly just hope we all have fun, and nobody gets hurt.
