“Alabama looked very average and lethargic today.”
Herbie isn’t the end all, be all, but he’s seen enough Saban teams to know that Alabama is nothing special anymore. Unfortunately, he’s spot on. Changes have to be made and quickly.

The one time we sent real heat off the edge, Saab almost killed their QB. Fricking pathetic coaching decisions that a Madden player could’ve corrected.

It’s a trend with these Alabama teams under DeBoer. Against Michigan, we should’ve been foaming at the mouth to punch them into the dirt. They had beaten us the year before, sent our coach out with an L, and had a depleted roster. Yet they came out aggressive while we were on our heels..playing scared and lifeless.

Same thing happened today. Start of a new season. Ready to restore order. Once we got punched in the mouth, we tucked our tail.

Womack doesn’t teach his linebackers to plug gaps and then gets surprised when teams methodically chunk down the field with the run game

It’s wild. Just don’t get how this guy can’t figure out a package to combat it. If they’re getting 5 yards a carry and you’re in dime on 3rd and 2, I’m not sure what you’re fricking expecting them to do besides run it

Exactly right... It's a trend. And not a good one.

LSU, Auburn and Tennessee all have looked much better than us te first weekend. Flying to the ball...emotion...desire.

I saw none of that today from our guys. It's like they all took a Xanax before hitting the field.

I mean, FSU's QB questioned your manhood during the summer...and then you let him strip you of it and didn't even seem to care all that much. Can you imagine Rolando or Hightower or Foster doing that?

The only time DeBoer had the team looking to be champing at the bit was UGA. Once in 14 games. This guy fricking blows and I hate watching him and his team.

I think that if we lose to Georgia and Vanderbilt there will be major changes in the program. Greg Byrne and the BOT cannot allow this man and his middle school staff to run our program into the ground.

I just wish someone would ask in the media about how we literally get carved up defensively by the same stuff time and time again. Even if they don’t give a decent answer

We had the worst overall performance in all of college football in week 1, given the rankings and expectations.

An expensive change has to be made somehow before he destroys the program.

Defense has to be addressed. Wommack is not the answer.

Not sure who we could pull. Honestly at this point I’d rather can Wommack and let Morrell run it.

Georgia is most likely a loss.

Now if Vandy at home is a loss, then I'd probably wouldn't want to be in ttown.

Lol

I’d rather DeBoer and his staff not want to be in t-town after that scenario.

UGA is honestly the rare case where Wommack showed a ton of different looks first half then…

Cover 1 Robber the rest of the game

I’m still convinced Saban gave him some defensive sheets and that’s the only reason he called the game like that in the first half

Look at our schedule and outside of ULM and EIU, what game would you bet $10,000 on us to win straight up? Wisconsin?

This season could go south very, very quickly.

To be fair, half of this group melted and said last season was 7-5 at best after Vanderbilt

We’ve got three games until we hit real meat on the schedule. Mizzou just lost their quarterback. Let them gel a bit and let Wommack get beaten in the shed like old yeller and we’ll be in a better situation to handle this situation
