Auburn University has been cited by federal officials for a recent incident where an alpaca died after being trapped under a gate.

On Feb. 27, an alpaca named Anna at a biological research facility died after being trapped underneath a gate panel that had been removed for cleaning purposes. The incident is Auburn’s first critical incident for alleged animal mistreatment since 2014, according to federal officials.

Of all the topics you could pick to talk smack to your rival, this is the one you pick?

This isn't smack talk, you inbred hayseed. An innocent animal is dead.

Let's pour one out for the Alpaca. Gone too soon.

Alpacas are rarely innocent.

Auburn fans are all inbreeds who probably cheat on their wives/cousins with those alpacas.

Bama fans worried more about Auburn than pretty much anything else as evidenced by the posts on this board.

PETA Rep speaks out on Auburn's animal cruelty

""It is PETA's position that, and I'd say of any animal advocate, that animals simply should not be used as exploitative trophies to show off."

"Alabama can attest to having human-costumed-willing mascots is extremely effective," he explained. "Look at Big Al. Look at Aubie. War Eagle, for a bird of prey to have bright lights and screaming crowds, disorienting noise, that goes against everything that defines this animal's natural disposition."

We should all be worried. No way this wasn't a sacrifice to the Creek Warriors who still haunt JHS.

Place all your money on Auburn. The dark horse cometh on the back of a dead alpaca.
