How do I convince my northern friends to try an SEC tailgate?

Like, they’ve never partied and have not ever been to a college football game before. What’s your advice for someone who’s never been to a sec tailgate before? (Serious)

If they need convincing .... don't waste your time.
We had a lot of our Midwestern and yankee friends visit with us over the decades and they all came away thrilled. Especially the last twenty plus in the Cockaboose.

The people I know from the old Big 8 and Big 10 are always bragging about their tailgates just like SEC peeps do.

Dude I’ll be honest, I thought the SEC partied and our tailgating is pretty fun, but I got to do tailgating in my early 20’s at Michigan and once at Michigan State. Straight out of a movie. Project X movie vibes. I woke up in a Michigan dorm, watched A&M vs Rice with a bunch of Michigan guys hating on A&M, looked out the window, must of been 500 people drunk at noon at the house next to the dorm. And ever house next to that house was just as packed. I literally saw a cop car pull up on a 18 year old freshman, drinking a beer, sirens blaring, dramatic car break, “Hey come here!”. Scrawny kid dropped beer and ran into a crowd of 200 people. Michigan state had like professional DJ, sound stages, kids drunk and dancing like a rave. Fun shite.
Fun stuff but I enjoy our calmer scenes. Young, that scene is real fun.

I've never been to an SEC tailgate, so I cannot compare the 2, but I imagine they are a lot of fun.

Ask them if they want to tailgate. Tell them its fun. If they decline, tailgate with someone else.

What would you know. UTrans has a street carnival instead of tailgaiting. Nobody wants to tailgate with all the homeless people around campus.
I know most of you LoSerU fans are looking at those pictures and thinking "Man, they got it pretty good in Austin." But to most of the rest of us, that sucks.

I don't call people friends that need convincing to come eat and drink outside with a bunch of fun people.
