I see ESPN is launching a new direct to consumer package on Aug 21..every ESPN owned channel for 30 bucks/month. For the past few years I just watched the feeds of the college games on youtube but near the end of last season they were shutting the feeds down very fast (probably using AI to do it) so I know that isn't an option this season. All the TV channel packages that had most of the ESPN channels were like 80 bucks or more a month. I think the best option as a football fan if you already have the other TV stuff you want is to sign up for this plan probably and then cancel it after 5 months just after the college football playoff championship game. I think I read you get Hulu with ads also with it but not sure if there is any catch with that or not.

This is great for SEC fans. The biggest issue would be not having CBS or Fox, but we don't have to worry about that. Also, I don't know that I want to pay an extra $50 a month for NFL games.

For those interested in more details.

Hulu's days are numbered. Disney is going to junk it as a standalone subscription and make you get the full Disney+ package if you want what is on their platform.

I hooked up a 15 dollar indoor little antenna and that gives me all the networks except NBC. I get ABC, CBS and Fox with it.

I can be wrong, but I think Sling TV will be doing Daily Passes for $5. Not sure if that’s access to all ESPN channels, but definitely ESPN, ESPN2, and possibly ESPNU.

It's amazing how convoluted it is to try and watch a college football game any longer. It's like a shell game.

I think the Big 12 is moving to TNT? Didn’t see that one coming

That sounds like a way to do it if you just watch Saturday games. One problem though is not getting the SECN if you don't get that with the Sling daily deal.

Yep the bastards are splitting the crap up to force people to get more stuff. I can live with all the ESPN owned channels and CBS, Fox and ABC. Some people claim Disney is only doing this because their other streaming stuff is taking a nosedive.

lol..Right when I went to it the feed cutoff after like 10 seconds. I tried some places like that after Youtube started shutting things down last season and the feeds were getting cut off there also or the place was wanting your email and crap like that to sign up. I heard people years ago mention using a firestick but I dont know if that still works good and have never had one.

StreamEast is pretty foolproof for an illegal streaming site. I just use it when NFL or NBA games are blacked out in my area, and as long as you have some sort of ad blocker, it's pretty flawless.
Back to the original topic, I was going to dump YouTubeTV this year because it seemed so damn expensive ($94 with NFL Redzone.) Then I checked Hulu with LiveTV and was planning to switch, when I realized it's pretty much the same damn price. Here I thought YTTV was just expensive, but I guess anything Disney-owned is going to charge the same sort of premium.
May as well stick with YouTubeTV. It just works like it's supposed to, especially streaming on your phone when you're out of the house and want to check on the game. ESPN's apps have always been dogshit going back to the Xbox360 days. Save yourselves a headache and don't totally rely on them for your sports streaming this coming season. Give your $30 to someone else.

I am good, cable TV and being able to save up to 50 hours means I don't miss many games so I am good...won't change.

If you subscribe to both YouTube TV – couldn't care less about RedZone – and ESPN Plus, you already get all the ESPN channels and lots more. Paying 30 bucks a month for the new streaming package makes no sense.

If that's true, does that mean our cable provides dop those charges on our bill?
