Great video on how Alabama became the nation's toilet (with Mississippi and Louisiana not far behind).

As if the incest that goes on in Alabama wasn't enough for defects, the toxic waste won't help.

Gonna be some whole new meanings to "Gumps."

But, in all seriousness, how did Bama let this happen?

Anytime I see people from Florida throwing shade at any state I laugh. Florida collectively has the strangest group of people / criminals in this country. Floridians don’t just commit crimes , they chop up their mothers into 200 pieces and then go to the park to chew on their toenails. Action 8 news at 11:00.

Most of these people are not actually from Florida, but moved here from states like Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, etc.

We also have pretty open public record laws, so you see a lot more headlines because of it.

So, nice deflection to Alabama being the nation's toilet, followed by Louisiana and Mississippi.

I am glad we slashed the $1.1 billlion in tax payer funds which were supporting PBS and NPR. That will sting. I expect them to really lash out at red states in the months to come.

ForeverGroomer is obviously feeling it too.

Oh, so it explains how states with strict environmental policies (ie: leftist policies) are taking their toxic waste and dumping it on Alabama.

How progressive...

They should just dump it in Gainesville, FL. No one would notice.

PBS

PBS and NPR are both certainly woke now but, over the years, they put on some really good programs. PBS, before being taken over by libs, produced very good historical documentaries. In 1979, when my family moved to Jacksonville FL, I watched uncut Monty Python's Holy Grail on PBS while the furniture was being moved into the new house. I grew up on Sesame Street in Denver. Long story short, I won't watch, or listen now but PBS and NPR weren't always "woke".

Get off my lawn.

You are not going to get objective reporting from PBS.

This is about one small town, Emelle, that chose to take other towns toxic waste in a specialized landfill for money.

Do better…..

I don't remember the takeover. Seems mostly the same now as it ever was.

Regardless, how does anyone dismiss this as woke or propaganda? Is it happening or not?

What does any of this have to do with Florida football going 6-6 and forcing another coach out the door before the season ends?

The Nation's Toilet

It is a toxic waste landfill in a singular rural town. It is certainly heavily regulated, even if still dangerous to water supplies and local people.

What are Florida people putting in their toilets to make this title make sense?

And, I am certain it is the only one of its kind in the States.

Dumb thread, especially at the twilight of off season topics.

Did you not watch it?

It is propaganda because they frame it as 1) it is all the result of racism, 2) it is killing the planet and everyone in Emelle, 3) Alabama is horrible for allowing this to happen.

They gloss over or completely ignore that Paul Bryant’s hunting lodge is literally across the highway from the dump. He is the largest private landowner in the immediate area. If it were so toxic, he would be leading the charge against them. He isn’t. The landfill is by far the largest employer in the area and without it the people there would be even poorer. The landfill is following federal law in the disposal of the waste products. Emelle is such a big town it has zero stoplights nor any 4 way stops. The population of Emelle, AL is 32.

If not there, where? I vote Central Park.

It is absolutely propaganda meant to appeal to their core audience, self-loathing 50+ year old white liberals who feel they have to save black people because they don’t believe black people are capable of saving themselves.

Hunted 3500 acres in Sumter Co for 15 years.

It produces a lot of good deer.

Might as well hold out for mutant bucks.

They moved from terrible areas like Oakland, New Orleans, Chicago...and continue being trash. I've had no issues in Tampa, Gainesville, nor Ocala. Be smart of course....but it isn't dangerous at all where I live.
