Below is my ranking for every coaches best year at their current school.
1. Smart: UGA 2022 (National Champs) 15-0
2. Heupel: Tennessee 2022 (Orange Bowl Champs) 11-2
3. Sarkisian: Texas 2023 (Big 12 Champs) 12-2
4. Kiffin: Ole Miss 2023 (Peach Bowl) 11-2
5. Drink: Missouri 2023 (Cotton Bowl) 11-2
6. BK: LSU 2023 (ReliaQuest Bowl) 10-3
7. Stoops: Kentucky 2018 (Citrus Bowl) 10-3
8. Venebales: Oklahoma 2023 (L Alamo Bowl) 10-3
9. Debeor: Bama 2024 (L Reliaquest) 9-4
10. Beamer: South Carolina 2024 (L Citrus Bowl) 9-4
11. Pittman: Arkansas 2021 (Outback Bowl) 9-4
12. Elko: Texas A&M 2024 (L Vegas Bowl) 8-5
13. Napier: Florida 2024 (W Gasparilla Bowl) 8-5
14. Lea: Vandy 2024 (Birmingham Bowl) 7-6
15. Freeze: Auburn 2023 (L Music City) 6-7
16. Lebby: Hail State 2024 2-10
The hardest ones to choose between are Tennessee (2022) and Texas (2023). Both beat bama. Tennessee played a tougher schedule and beat more ranked teams, but had one bad loss. Thats a toss up to me. Tennessee gets the nod because they played an SEC schedule. Another hard one is Missouri (2023) or Ole Miss (2023). This is a toss up. Ole Miss beat LSU this year and Mizzou didn't. Both lost to UGA. I give Ole Miss the nod because I just thought they were better eye test wise.

Crazy how close South Carolina was last year from moving way up on this list. They knocked off several good teams and were right there in some of the losses
Could argue Texas in 2024 was the better Texas team since they won a NY6 bowl and another playoff game before that. They did have more losses, but 2 of those came in the postseason. Didn’t win their conference like they did in 2023, though

Alabama was in the Reliaquest Bowl last year I believe.
South Carolina was in the Citrus.

I personally think 2023 Texas was better than 2024.
You are an idiot if you think Mizzou and Ole Miss are in the same convo as that Tennessee team (which was number 1, beat two top 10 teams, and won in Death Valley by 30). All of which are things Mizzou and Ole Miss didn't come close to. Also had the SEC Player of the year and Biletnikoff winner. Better wins, better players, and higher ranking end of year lol

Pretty good for a guy that averages 4 losses a year.

Napier better get his act together. 10 - 14 in SEC play is not acceptable.

They should've beat LSU if it wasn't for a late hit on Nuss during a pick 6 to ice the game. What a bone head play by the USCe player.

playoff wins are more important than conference titles. I'd rank our 24 team over our 23 team.

Purdue hasn't won a NY6 bowl since 1978.
