of the season.
We have been going to a friend's house with about 15 gathering and watch the first game. The pool is available, and the kids loved it when they were younger. Close to a 25 year tradition. A lot of tailgate type food and I bring wings and crock pot ribs.

Me and the wife do it every morning before the first game.
So we have sex once a year.

Buy a 12 pack box and it lasts an entire year. Saving money hey?

Keeping the intimate relationship fresh like when you first met. Smart.

I can make a pretty damn good pork shoulder in a dutch oven. That may become the Labor Day weekend tradition around our house.
I think if I put a drop or two of liquid smoke in broth at the bottom, I could fool people into thinking it was from a smoker.

Me and my wife usually go to the Dawghouse saloon in Nashville for opening weekend and blow it out pretty good that weekend in Nashville but the DHS has unfortunately closed
. Loved that place

Typically a pot of chili. Probably what I'll do again this year.

Fantasy football draft weekend. 33 year old league. Beach house this year.
Golf on Friday
Draft Friday night
Poker Friday night
Football all day Saturday
Beach Sunday, maybe fishing charter. Kayak Sunday on years not at the beach
Monday head back home
Favorite weekend of the year.

Don’t knock it until you try my mustard based bbq sauce.

I saw a youtube video on how to do it. The guys I served it to last year were impressed so I am going to add it to my restaurant bought wings that I normally bring. Fall off the bone good.

No worse than crock pot ribs. It's 321, baby.

You don't want it to fall off the bone until you pick it up and take a bite. It should melt like butter while you chew.

I'm more of a vinegar/tomato base. But I've had some decent mustard sauces. But no way that compared to a 12+hour smoke. I did 2 butts last weekend at 225 that ended up taking 17 hours. I'll probably raise the temp up from 225 to 275 while the butt temps are around 140-170, then kick it down to 250 to finish it off. Cook it until 205. There's too much goo left at 195.
I had people stop by the next day to get more leftovers. It's addictive like crack. I'd you've got the extra prep time, inject it with apple juice and some rub. You'll never use a crock pot for BBQ again.
