NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma announced Monday OU athletics received a record-breaking $113 million in support during the 2025 fiscal year.
The Sooners set a fundraising record for the second time in three years last season when they set a record with $110.3 million in total donations and pledges during the 2023-24 fiscal year, surpassing the $109 million raised during the 2022 fiscal year.
The athletic department's fundraising push — a goal of $725 million — is part of the university’s $2 billon Lead On campaign.
The university also broke its previous fundraising record with over $352 million in gifts during the fiscal year ending June 30, according to Monday's release. OU also announced over $1.5 billion has been raised toward the Lead On campaign.

Why do you pretend to be an LSU fan? It's the oddest thing on this board, and that's saying a lot.

I have a hard time buying this. The only thing one could think of where this money comes from is oil and gas. However, Louisiana and the Haynesville Shale have roughly same amount of active rigs as Oklahoma. LSU doesn't have 75 people donating at least $1 mil. Add in 6-6 last year.

Seems pretty obvious you need to raise money consistently every year. If you got a bunch of your alumni to blow their load one year and give you little the next, what do you have?

Pissing away millions of dollars so a sports ball team can buy players.
