Depends on what he blew. Anything .02 or higher is illegal for anyone under 21. So he could have had a few beers and got popped and not black out drunk driving.

he'll get youthful offender and take a few classes and it will be swept under the rug.

Hopefully it’s a learning opportunity. He seems like the type of kid that will learn from it. Can’t say I didn’t do the same thing when I was his age. It’s a stupid thing to do but it’s a common mistake for youngsters to make.

No gun, no weed, no running from the police.

Life lesson in the making. And at an age where it might do him some good.

Look at his photo. I’ve bartended for years. That isn’t a look of someone very intoxicated

Exactly why i posted the .02 limit for underage drinking. I was expecting him to look hammered and he looks like he's three or four beers in

eta: not even three beers. Probably one or two

Worse than what Barber did tbh.

He's a star though, so the difference is he will get punished, maybe miss a couple games and then be right back on the court.

One guy was selfish potentially putting lives at risk while the other guy had some weed and a legal gun. This is definitely worse.

And you know Pettiford wasn't drunk how? I haven't seen results of his BAC released.

The picture. I’ve been drunk before and my picture would not look like that ??

But seriously, this is obviously a case where he had a very small amount but because he was underage, he broke the law and should be punished justly for it. Let’s not act like it is a career ender. The kid made a mistake and hopefully will learn his lesson and apply that moving forward

Also, just because you’re really good at basketball doesn’t make you perfect and I think we could all agree if we’re being honest with ourselves, that we’ve made some stupid decisions at times too
