A high 1st round ace. A top 2 round Saturday guy. Top 3 round reliever.

Maybe the best 2 hitters this year. As deep as lineup as anyone.

Omaha experience.

Lost 7 SEC series.

The only one to blame is Vitello.

The title hangover effect is real
You make promises to fr class that don’t pan out
You bring in portal players over them and some are only in for the $

LSU went thru something similar in 2024
Complacency sets in as you bask in the glow all offseason
The message from coaches don’t always get thru as some are more worried about their draft status

And to top it all off the sec shows no mercy

Both ended up 14/15 in the RPI.

There is a big difference between 2024 LSU and 2025 Tennessee.

LSU went through it at the beginning of last year while the team was still coming together. They were playing their best ball at the end of the year.

Tennessee was ranked #1 then completely fell apart down the stretch. They lost 7 of their last 8 series against the SEC.

Yeah LSU def had it figured out at the end of the year in 2024…didn’t even make it out a regional. Tennessee won their regional and lost on the road to a great team in a super regional. No one was gonna go to Arkansas and win this year. LSU fans want so badly for Tennessee fans to get nervous but no one is lol

Winning on the road against a national seed is difficult. Last year, LSU was much closer to pulling it off than Tennessee was this year.

Losing 7 of the last 8 series has to be the reason so many are jumping ship. Also probably why Advincula picked Tech, Sosa picked Miami, etc. Vitello might have to develop and manage next year. Scary thought for Vol fans, I am sure.

Thanks for the expert opinion! Not sure why you would share such biting in depth analysis without being compensated. You should try to replace Chris Burke or Kyle Peterson next year.

We just had the best post natty season in 7 years. I think we are fine. Tennessees post natty year was objectively better (more wins, won a regional, higher ranked finish) than LSUs. And literally who cares rn it’s football season

Funny that a Tennessee fan would bring up football season when we are talking about their players leaving

LSU beat them 4 of 5 games this year.

That’s an 80% winning percentage

LSU also never played LSU on the road at Alex Box. Another unfortunate break for Tennessee.

If only 4 or 5 of those 7 series would have gone the other way, Tennessee could have been holding up the trophy. We’ll never know.

Y'all are way too insignificant for us to think that much about you. OP just wanted to know why all your players were leaving?
