I can't watch a play. They might let a guy walk 3 steps, carry, back up 4 steps, gather, pass the ball to himself, jump into the defender while shooting an off balance 3, then get rewarded with 3 free throws.

I was just rubbing in a little LSU stuff

Please forgive me, because I usually only trash talk before games

It truly is so much different than when I was a kid watching Jordan, then Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Kidd, LeBron, etc…

Early 2000’s basketball will forever be my favorite.

Yeah I didn’t watch either game, but I didn’t realize that there were 2 Arkansas kids who played together in high school playing on the NBA championship team. That’s pretty damn cool. And both played for the Hogs.

JWill and Isaiah Joe. Congratulations men and Go Hogs!

Your description of the current style of play in the NBA frames it perfectly. I used to enjoy watching the NBA but no longer. I remember watching games on Saturdays as a kid in the 1950s--the NBA Game of the Week. I even remember the Fort Wayne Pistons. Yes, I know I'm old, but we have lost a lot in sportsmanship and the concept of playing as a member of a team, as opposed to the egotistical players now, playing to glorify themselves. And, of course, now college sports are ruined with the NIL and the wide-open transfer portal, a prima donna's dream.

It is certainly unusual for two guys to play high school, then college, then pro on the same team.

Were they part of that weird gay sex thing happening in the Arkansas locker room?

You really should check out the OKC Thunder. An old fashioned excellent example of unselfish teamwork and humility.

You were in the minority.

The NBA final game had over 16 million viewers.

The CWS final game had 2.75 million viewers.

The final round of the PGA Traveler’s tournament, which was on CBS opposite the CWS, had 3.5 million viewers.

I kept forgetting it was happening. Indianapolis and OKC aren't huge markets and it feels like it wasn't promoted much at all (I'm in Austin and was in NYC for the first couple of games).

I used to love the NBA but it's honestly unwatchable anymore. It's a terrible product.
