Hard to beat a program that at it's heart is full of confidence and legit swag (not fake swag that is trying to convince itself it's really good, the real kind) while also having elite talent everywhere. Guys put on those jerseys in the big moments and they just do not fear losing or making losing plays.
As a baseball fan it's pretty awesome to watch. Very cool Skip was able to be there, too.

LSU baseball might be the second greatest program of all time in college sports. Probably would be first if it weren’t for Saban

Thanks
LSU is to baseball to what Alabama is to football and Kentucky is to basketball. Programs of tremendous excellence. Confidence just ooozes across all three programs. Just amazing to watch

The format is the best in college sports as far as identifying a true champion.
Respect.
Respect.

He asked Jay what the celebration was going to be before the game started.

(a) I didn't write aurora, I wrote aura ("field of subtle, radiant energy")
(b) I'm not an LSU fan nor am I from or was I educated in Louisiana

Because you’ve shite on saban, you shite on Bama football when they fall to the height of typical LSU standards and you act like because you have a great baseball team, and you do have a great one, that you atomically have learned to spell.
Give us credit when we put your teeth in the curb in football and we’ll give you credit when you win the CWS.

My guess would be a very severe sense of personal and/or professional inadequacy that leads him to irrational anger and temper tantrums that he takes out on others.

I know CJJ is a great coach; the best in active college baseball. But that DNA is 100% Skip Bertman. He said it in an interview yesterday. LSU baseball players expect to win.... Skip was famous for saying something like if you can envision it and truly believe it, you will make it come true.
Never more evident than when down by two against Stanford in the 8th of a natty game. Story goes like this. It was not looking like the Tiger's day against that pitcher. Blair Barbier hit a dinger runs back to the dugout and yells "Do you believe!" or something to that effect. That was after a decade of championships and Skip's message. Jeremy Witten blast another homer at the next at bat. Ties the game in the 8th. Back to back dingers. In the 9th, Cresse drives in the walk off to win the natty; his only hit of the CWS. Not sure if its true, but its a good LSU Baseball story and how I heard it.

You only joined in 2024...Saban wasn't even the coach.

Absolutely - the culture of the program (which was obviously built from the ground up by Skip) is to play loose, fast and without any fear. And while that's hard in any sport, it's really hard in baseball. And LSU always seems to revel in the bigger stage moments whereas the majority of players and teams play not to lose. And by in large LSU does it without being irritating dickheads, which is the general side effect of that sort of overall mentality.
It's just really cool to watch.

This is sad and you should feel bad.
