A Tuscaloosa restaurant built on Alabama sports culture is dealing with an emotional loss after storms with strong straight-line winds took down a wall commemorating the Tide's National Championships on Saturday.

Storms whipped through West Alabama Saturday afternoon and though they did not produce tornadoes, they carried extremely strong winds and frequent lightning.

The storm torn down the National Championship Wall at Rama Jama's, the 30-year-old breakfast and burgers joint located steps away from Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Hope this isn't a bad omen.

Honestly surprised that thing hadn’t fallen over already. It’s been pretty beat up for a while

Oh my god, there is no way we will ever manage to rebuild a rickety wooden fence and paint some words on it! It's all over! We're finished!

That thing looks like it was built with old pallets and it's been around since I was in college 30 years ago. As someone else said, what's truly stunning is that it took this long to happen.

Maybe it’s a sign that they need a new wall to add new, upcoming national championships to.
