When were tRant's Golden Years?

As with all things that revolve around college football enthusiasm has noticeably declined. It's apparent it's had a detrimental effect here also. Was just wondering what you thought of when you think of The Golden Age of tRant. For me it had to be the era around the Jim McElwain shark sex scandal. There was so much happening in CFB then. The board was so alive and entertaining.

The early Nick Saban years to Alabama had some golden trolls. There was entertainment to be had on a 24hr basis. Most of the trolls now are terrible at it.

this board exists solely because of the influx of bama trolls that came to the rant after Saban was hired there.

Alabama hiring Saban was the catalyst to truly jumpstart the smack talk between Bama fans and LSU fans.
Florida was at its peak with the Tebow years.
LSU won the national title losing two games.
Arkansas was playing great ball under Petrino, which created the Flagship.

And the bama fanbase increased significantly after his first title. Although the large majority didn't know that bama football existed before that and only knew that the "roll tide" saying came from a woman's liberation march in which they celebrated their "cycle".

Back when we used to have a nightly off topic thread. Board wasn’t overrun by people from everywhere. Was a good group of people that posted regularly. More than a few of the good ones either passed away or just disappeared entirely.

If we had a SEC West, and SEC East, some of the fun would come back.

Yet the only reason I found out about this board is because some dude from tRant porn bombed TideSports in February 2008.
